The provider was hired on June 2, 2025 with the promise to have the job completed within 10 days. I was never notified of the proposed time or when the job would be started. It was after 5:30 pm on June 12, 2025 when someone in an unmarked car abruptly jumped on my roof without the curtesy of a call that they were on their way or a knock on the door to introduce themselves. I learned later that this was a subcontractor. After ~15-20 minutes, the work stopped and when I inquired he indicated he had a medical emergency. I called the provider who didn't call back, but just responded via a text message to indicate that the work would be completed. Again, no appointment or notification. The same guy came back on June 17, 2025, again after 5:30 pm and this time with with another guy who said he did not work for either company and was just a buddy there to hold the ladder. The subcontractor hooked up the hose and then walked to the back and removed the ladder and then went to sit in his truck. When asked, he indicated that he had to take a break because he had been working all day and became upset when I asked why he didn't take a break before arriving for this job. He then left job without finishing the job.

We needed gutter repair or new gutters and leaf guards. We called or emailed 6 or 7 companies. Many didn't bother to respond, others came out with hour long presentations, showed up unannounced and one one was just plain crazy. My experience with The Gutter Boys was impressive. They responded the same day. Their sales rep. Sam gave us a no pressure quote with a short demo of their product. The prices were competitive. We went with new gutters instead of repair since our house is +40 years old but they would have done either. Once we decided to hire them, the communication via email and phone was prompt and install date was scheduled within 3 weeks. Install team arrived as promised and completed the job quickly and cleaned up properly. There seem to be a lot of shady companies out there for this type of work. I highly recommend The Gutter Boys.
