The Attic Doctor

Eric from the Attic Doctor was difficult to make contact with. When I did speak with him and explained my problem he was quick to quote a price and what he wanted to do without seeing it in person. When he scheduled a date to do the work, they were a no show. I called him and had to leave a message. That was last week and I still never heard back. I took a day off work for nothing.

I was extremely pleased with the work done. The workers were very professional, completed the work in one day, installed 12 new attic vents, and removed all traces of mold. There was very little odor that lasted only a few hours after the work was done. The price for the work ($1600) was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company and would hire them again if I need work done.

The rep that came out to help us was great. Very knowledgeable and walked us through all of our options. Turned out, we didn’t have a mold problem, but we did have a downspout issue. We were charged for a specific test to uncover our spout issue, but so worth the minimal fee to not incur more water damage. Would highly recommend!

Can't say enough good things about Eric and his crew. He is busy and sometimes requires an extra call or email to get things moving, but we are extremely happy with the results. Several different jobs were all completed within our requested timeframe and all of his workers are very professional and friendly on the job. Eric personally performed the initial site visit and his quoted price was very reasonable and accurate. No surprises.

Eric from the Attic Dr. came out to our home in a timely manner and reviewed all of the issues cited by the inspector with me. He explained how his company could handle ALL of the repairs include carpentry issues, masonry and concrete repair, properly venting bathroom fans, as well as remediating the mold issue and adding vents and battles to improve Attic correction. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained every detail well. His crews, especially Chuck, were punctual, efficient, thorough, and professional. We were very pleased with the entire process.

Good once I wasn't able to get them to perform an estimate and schedule the job. Not the best responsiveness.

The inspector came out, did an inspection but never did the remediation.

Did a great job and even sent out the letter that weekend.

Spoke twice to gentleman. Explained what I needed. Said he would get back to me. Four days passed, I finally called him. Him hauled around and basically said he couldn't get around to it till "maybe next week". Either you can do it or not but don;t beat around the bush, not return my calls then not have the time.

They were able to come and look at the attic and do some wiring work too. Professional. Courteous. Very knowledgeable. Angie's list is a terrible service, but the Attic Doctor is a wonderful company.

the inspection was on time and went fine. He promised a quote for fixing the problem but did not respond. I called on 3 different occasions, was told an excuse and that the quote would be coming soon. I finely gave up and never have heard back.

They arrived early and we're done ahead of schedule. Price was worth it and they didn't upset any pets. I can't recall the exact dates but it was summer and it weather didn't bother them at all. I would have melted. Glad we called professionals.

This is in addition to an earlier review. Since giving them a grade of D, Eric called me and expressed his disappointment with that grade and he thought it was unfair. After spending over 30 minutes on the phone with him I explained I wouldn't change the grade because nothing had changed. But, I told him I would write this addition to the review. In my previous review I stated the mold had obviously not been cleaned, I should have said the joist had not been scrubbed. Which he pointed out that the contract did not state they would do that. As far as the HEPA Vac, per the contract would only be done as needed. He also stated that the previous owner who he gave the estimate to was trying to cut corners and wanted to get by as cheap as possible and get a clear air test for the sale. I obviously have no way to verify that one way or the other, but based on my interactions with the seller that is probably true. Eric also said there was no way that any mold survived or it would have shown on the post remediation test. What I do know is the mold was there again and not one mold remediation company out of 3, Home Inspector or myself can find any water intrusion or dampness anywhere in the house. The end result is I have had another company complete another mold remediation. If Eric is correct the mold will return because we have not corrected an issue somewhere, only time will tell with that. I hope it doesn't return. Eric was very polite, informative and understanding. Obviously he was not pleased with the review remaining, I will say this, he called and was willing to try and remedy the situation, apologized for the lack of communication and the entire situation. He said he had no record of any of the messages that were left. He also said there was a warranty.

Eric and his crew are outstanding. They are able to go beyond the obvious and see problems that are the causes of the symptoms. Many companies just come in and do the obvious fix. Eric and his crew are able to get to the source of the problem. They do an excellent job of repairing. They are professional and punctual, and do a good job of explaining what they're doing and why they are doing it. They also are able to go over home maintenance and care tips that are invaluable. They are able to come out and assess a variety of problems before they become problems and take care of them. They are very reasonable in their price and efficient in the work that they do. Doesn't get better than this.

They follow up on it which is very important to us.

He provided an assessment of my attic, and also offered excellent ideas and perspective on a variety of other questions I had about my home. It really doesn't get better than Eric and his crew. They are knowledgeable, punctual, professional, and get the job done. There repairs are on target and practical. They provide excellent explanation about what is needed

Eric was awesome. He provided us with a thorough inspection of our problem, identified the cause , and repaired all of the issues as he said he would at a very reasonable price. We really appreciated the time he spent walking us through the process and and putting our minds at ease. He is very passionate about his business and with his customers. Initial consult was very good, energetic, and he went all over the attic looking for issues. While I luckily did not have mold, I did have condensation issues from where the warm air was leaking out my house and into the attic, due to missing insulation. His assessment and pictures convinced me to go ahead with the repair. His crew was about 45 minutes late, and they had the wrong phone number on the invoice, but once they got in, they got to business and fixed all the issues and took pictures. I think they were finished in under 90 minutes, and I reviewed the pictures of the work. Overall, I have a great feeling about the work and the price.

We were getting ready to put our house on the market in short order and Eric (the owner) was able to rearrange some of his crews to get it done basically the next day. They were very efficient, courteous while in the home, and the price seemed extremely fair. Would definitely recommend them.

I've had the pleasure of working with Eric and his staff at The Attic Doctor on multiple occasions. The Attic Doctor is fully capable of addressing jobs of any size. Each time I contact The Attic Doctor they respond promptly to my inquiry and provide a timely estimate. Each job was scheduled in a timely manner and done on time and billed according to the estimate. I am very happy with my experiences and have faith in The Attic Doctor that they provide an honest assessment and remedy for each job.

I was not overwhelmed with this. They weren’t sure what they were seeing but they expressed confidence in their methods to take care of it. We opted not to use them. I would tell a friend to check my friend to check around because what they did for $75 somebody else would do it for free.

The Attic Doctor saved my attic! Eric and his team showed up on time and got right to work. After a free estimate, they were able to diagnose the original issue of why the mold was growing in the first place and come up with plan to not only remove the existing mold but also put together a plan to keep it from coming back. I'm happy to report our attic is now properly vented and mold free thanks to the addition of one gable vent, gable vent fan, opened soffits and new soffit panels, baffle, chaulking of chimney, spray of a fungicidal cleaner to re-mediate biological growth from painted attic sheathing/framing and vented bathroom fans. Not only was the crew properly educated on the issues, very professional, nice and fast working, but the total cost came in under almost half of what was originally quoted!!! If your attic is sick, you MUST call The Attic Doctor!

Work went very smoothly. Workers showed up on time. Actual job went very fast. Odor was not that bad so we were able to stay in the house. Workers were conscientious and professional.
