TAYCON ROOFING & PAVING

He spread extender on my rubber roof and now the roof is leaking and I will have to hire some one else to put a whole new roof on my house. I've tried calling him to come out and fix the problem but he won't answer any of my phone calls and his mail box is full.

it was smooth until he got his check and the leak turned out not to be fixed and then they said I was not getting my money back even though they did not fix the problem.

Michael Taycon came to my home and gave me an estimate to replace the chimney caps and paint the stucco on my chimney. His team was with him and they were available to do the job on the spot on the 12th of September so we agreed to do the job. The caps were replaced as discussed but the paint job was shoddy. I have tried to contact Michael numerous times and spoken to him numerous times regarding correcting the problem with the shoddy paint job since September 15th. He has made promises to come every week when we have talked but hasn't shown up. My warning to anyone who deals with this contractor is to carefully inspect the job before the contractor leaves the premises. I was unable to do this because I had a commitment to get to which prevented my being able to check on the work quality. My second warning is that Michael is not true to his word or promises so watch out as I've been trying for over a month and a half!

When they put the roof on they put a tarp up to cover the siding. The tarp came off and tar from the roof fell all over the siding. They promised they will come out to clean in up but they have never showed.

Response time was quick but repairs were shoddy. Two months later, the same leaks are back. The company will not return my phone calls requesting warranty service. I had to call another contractor to correct Taycon's work. The turbine fan was also installed incorrectly.

My experience with Taycon was confusing and disappointing. I understood the bid to include removal of the old asphalt which Taycon was totally unprepared to do. After I agreed to top the old surface, Taycon did not cut out the old surface near the garage and the sidewalk, thus applying only 1/2 inch of new surface near these joints. No tack coat was applied to the old surface separate from the asphalt. They used a paver down the middle and shoveled in the outside 4 feet to produce a nonuniform surface texture with voids in the surface in one area. They cooled the top surface extensively before tamping/rolling, thus amplifying the texture variations. They dripped asphalt and aggregate on the concrete sidewalk, the concrete apron, and the street, leaving this debris behind. They advertised the sealer as permanent but did not provide any documentation of its characteristics or performance history nor confirmation it was applied.
