SunScapes Landscaping and Ground Maintance

I can’t begin to describe how, literally, violated I felt by this company. They have a sales rep, Taylor, that came out, interrupted every single sentence I made to express what I wanted done on my yard, and lo and behold, half my yard looks like utter shirt since the spring “cleanup.” He told me the day after they “finished” that he was coming to get payment but didn’t bother asking if I was satisfied (I wasn’t). It came to the point that I asked the owner that the sales rep not return to my property as he made me feel unsafe and harassed. I have a good 30 minute recording of him yelling at me because I said they didn’t do a good job laying soil and grass seed as I asked in the quote. The posted photos are blue seed that I had to entirely reseed MYSELF about 3 weeks after none of their new seeding took because they, deceivingly, only laid straw without any seeding underneath. They’ve ALSO been supposedly mowing our lawn as well but only mow the front after I told them I had to replant their failures in the back and they have yet to mow the back for over a month and a half now. Because I asked them to not mowover my new growth that I laid out. On top of ALL of this. The owner promised to “make it right.” Has yet to come back out to address any issue I mentioned. Has even “no-showed” on two occasions after scheduling a specific date and time with me. Would be GLAD to discuss how utterly they screwed up our yard and failed as a “service” if you’re interested in their failures. [email protected]

We have been getting firewood from Chris Leadbeater for years but he has since turned over his business to his son at SunScapes. The price was competitive but unfortunately we found out it's a mix of seasoned and non-seasoned firewood. Afterwards, I estimated the mix to be about 70% non-seasoned green wood and about 30% seasoned, which was not clearly explained before ordering. Out of the 15 or so fires we've had this season, only 2-3 didn't simply smoke and smolder. Joe was very cordial when I called to complain and offered more wood for pickup or delivery at no charge. I declined and asked for either a full refund for pickup of the remaining wood or a 50% refund and I would keep the wood and wait until it's seasoned myself. Joe respectfully sent me a check for half my money back a few weeks later.

I requested a quote and negotiated to add a?Preen application which is noted as a 3-6 week weed prevention and was assured by the team that arrived at the house that what he applied would take care of all the weeds (I had a huge thistle problem!).? The team arrived on a?Friday morning and quickly got to work. About 1 hour in to the service, they had cut, in half,?the cable that provides internet to our home. They said they would pay for the replacement,?no problem, I just needed to let Joey know. They completed the yard in about 5-6 hours. The yard looked great! I was very happy with their service, professionalism and timeliness.? However, 2 weeks after they completed the job, the weeds were all growing back and I had dead grass around my back flowerbeds. Dead grass, but new fresh weeds. I emailed SunScapes photos of the weed regrowth and dead grass and?asked for a refund of the Preen that did not live up to the 3-6 week note in the estimate and payment for the replacement of the internet cable. I have only emailed once, but did not receive any response back. I have not been impressed with their follow-up. I was requesting a $135 refund out of a $1030 total invoice.?

This is the third time we've used SunScapes and recommend them highly. We have landscape bedding all the way around our house and they edged, mulched and trimmed the bushes. Plus, they hauled everything away (we've seen other companies put their waste in mulch bags for the homeowner to dispose of). We contacted them and came out the next week. It took about 4 hours from start to finish. Very dependable and quality work.

Have had a very pleasant relationship with Sunscapes and their employees.  They do a great job and are very nice guys.  They have mowed for me for 3+ years and my lawn always looks nice.  They dont mow and charge you when the grass doesn't need it and if there's any doubt they will ring the doorbell and ask.  Very nice people.

These guys are really reliable.  The pricing is competitive.  The also came in early in the season and did a complete lawn clean up and mulch after my last provider left me hanging last year.  They come regularly and do several yards in my neighborhood.

They were fine. They were reasonably priced and did the job.

Joey and one crew member showed up early Saturday afternoon and knocked out the spring clean up job in a couple of hours and a week later did the backyard cleanup in about the same time. They were fast, efficient and friendly and the work was done extremely well - the house looked great. The only hiccup was they ran a few days later than planned but since there was no deposit required the delay wasn't a big deal. I plan to use Sunscapes again for annual cleanup and I've also requested an estimate for regular lawn maintenance and hope they can fit me in to their schedule.

Wood was delivered on schedule but it was very recently cut wood and very difficult to burn. We have a wood stove, used for 7 years, and burn 4 to 4.5 cords per year. I have always cut my own wood, but ran short this season. We are familiar with wood, and recognized that the wood that was delivered had been very recently cut. The wood was very difficult to burn. After three days of trying to use this wood, we called Sunscapes and spoke to Joey Leadbeater about the problem. He said that he had used a contractor for our delivery and that he would correct the situation by delivering aged wood by March 8. At 2:00 pm on March 8 we called to make sure that someone would deliver the wood. No one answered so we left a message, but no one ever called back. He did not show up and we received no calls from him. Do not use Sunscapes for firewood!

They are reasonably priced. He is on time and he does a good job. He was very neat. He has cared for my yard very well. He took complete care of my yard all year.
