Suburban Animal Clinic of Columbus Ohio

I’m a retired veterinary technician of 20 years and recently moved to the Columbus area. My dog had a puncture wound on his neck which didn’t appear to need sutures. I cleaned the wound and made an appointment for the next day. I guess I have expectations on how vet med professionals are treated and I felt they fell short. I was talked to like a 4 year old and just didn’t have a good feeling overall. The veterinarian did offer surgery to correct, but I told her I didn’t feel comfortable allowing my dog to undergo anesthesia without knowing their pre-surgical protocols, induction meds, etcetera. I explained to her I used to monitor for a board certified veterinary surgeon and just needed to feel comfortable with the practices. She appeared insulted and I opted for antibiotics and wound care. No one called to check on my dog after the visit. They only called for bandage change appointment reminders. The first receptionist I met was very friendly and the tech that greeted me in the room seemed nice enough. Again, my expectations may be different than most due to my many years of working in the field; however, I have been to another hospital where I was talked to with respect and even invited to tour the treatment area. This review is not meant to tarnish the practice by stating the staff is incompetent.....because they are not. This is just my overall opinion of the practice.

I've used them for emergencies and also for neutering. They do all kinds of emergencies. You have to make appointments. The interaction is great. The pets like the staff.

They are always courteous and professional. They seem to be very good vets and have a good staff. Always a pleasant visit.

Perfectly, the vet and vet tech were so great. They distracted my puppy with peanut butter to give him shots and feed him a dosage, he didn't even know he was doing anything but getting love and attention, and peanut butter :) they were by far the best vet I have been to!

Great! Everyone there was super friendly & great with our dog. It seems like they really know how to handle animals. We waiting maybe 2 minutes to see the vet. We met with an assistant first who took notes, asked & answered questions. She was very thorough in her explanations & recommendations.
The cost of servicewas after a $25 off Angie's List coupon for new customers. A few days after our visit, we were sent a follow up card with an additional coupon for our next visit which will be in a few weeks. So the card & coupon was thoughtful & an unexpected surprise. Thank you!

They're real professional and AAHA certified (they're one of the few). I typically wait less than 5 minutes to be seen when I arrive.

We have used this clinic since 1965, and are so impressed with the care and follow up given by everyone on staff. Would never go anywhere else.

Our dog has been for one wellness exam and yearly shots. Prior to the appointment, I received a welcome email and opportunity to register on their website, which contains a pet health management portal where you can schedule future appointments, set up appointment reminders, manage information about your pet, and more. The day of, we interacted
with four different team members, all of whom were very attentive to my
dog and friendly to me. From start to finish, the appointment
took about 40 minutes, and the team let me know when they were going to
be a few minutes longer with another animal, which I appreciated. They pointed out a couple of things we should be doing to maintain/improve our dog's dental health and weight management. They also shared recommendations
regarding local kennels and pet sitters, which we needed for the
holidays, when our regular kennel booked up earlier than expected. In
all, Suburban Animal Clinic seems to be very well run and its team
members knowledgeable and professional. We look forward to next year's visit!

We started going to Suburban Animal Clinic earlier this year based on Angie's List reviews.  The staff is always friendly and have gotten to know us and our pets.  Overall we're pleased with the services they've performed and will continue to take our pets there.

I was very pleased with this vet office. They were accommodating in giving me an appointment quickly. I was going out of town and needed to get my dog's shots before boarding him.  The office personal was very personable.   Their prices seemed reasonable.

Due to an emergency, the doctor we were scheduled to see had to be in surgery.  They called and gave us the option of seeing a different doctor at the original time or re-scheduling.

They were wonderful. They were able to get me an appointment within a few days. They took me to see the surgery room and I was able to bring my dog to see, as well. They made him very comfortable during recovery and I felt comfortable leaving him there. I wouldn't change anything.

They have a variety of services. In addition to routine care, they also offer laser light therapy and massage for animals.

I have driven 20 miles across town for the last 15 years to take my cats to Suburban Animal Clinic. I trust them more than any other Vet I have encountered. They dont do unnecessary procedures and make sure the well being of my cats are put first. Dr Seimur is a fantastic vet with a lot of experience. Hes up to date on anything and has the latest technology to help my cats but doesnt do more than my cat needs. The techs there are also fantastic. They on numerous occasions have helped me out over the phone in "emergencies" and have guided me and given great advice. They love my cats as much as I do! In fact my cat Gus truly LOVES Dr Shardy. She snuggles him every time he comes in and he eats that up!!! No cat loves the vet but all the kind folks at Suburban help to ease the anxiety.

Beth Stafford did not do very good when i ask about my dogs eyes. she just said to have the groomer check his eye to see if a hair was in it!!!!  3 weeks later my dog is blind! i took him to another vet that said i should get him into a vet for the eyes ASAP.
    i can't believe she said his eyes were fine.  she was more interested in giving me what i considered a very high estimate for dental cleaning.  i would not recommed them to anyone.
