After the previous long winded dissertation on all of the many reasons you should choose Stouter's Construction, perhaps there is a need for something a bit simpler here? 1 - I had a need. 2 - I called Stouter's Construction. 3 - Anthony and his team came right away (though planned in advance, a necessary provision). 4 - My budget was met, remodel was completed on time, open for business on exact target date. 5 - Follow up has been systematic but not intrusive and always professional. 6 - Referred everyone I know to him!
Description of Work: I hired Anthony to remodel the Hayley Gallery in downtown New Albany, Ohio and turn it into a music lesson studio. Sounds pretty simple, right? Couldn't be further from it. Trying to take a space that was a firehouse, a dance studio, and then an art gallery, and turn it into a sound proofed, state-of-the-art music lesson studio is not a job for an amateur or even a very talented general contractor. The number of different skills that Anthony brought to the equation can not easily be counted! He was the general contractor, the carpenter, he painted, laid several different styles of flooring, hung doors, submitted plans, organized materials, built walls, hung drywall, laid frame, installed insulation, ran stereo and TV cabling, removed a toilet, hung drop ceiling, patched holes in concrete walls, handled demolition, advised on lighting, electric, fire and security alarm, not to mention priceless input on decor and furnishings, oversaw the HVAC team even though they were supposed to have been on their own GC's watch, and the job would have been a complete disaster had it not been for Anthony's keen understanding of all the many moving parts of a $75,000 remodel job. And to top it all off, we did it it 45 days, a deadline I never would have set had I known then what I know now. I had never been involved with anything of this magnitude before though I did have some experience over the years with smaller remodeling jobs. What I quickly realized was that when you set out to do something like what we did, it is paramount to have a plan but to simultaneously realize that almost nothing is going to go exactly as you have planned it. What Anthony was so astonishingly adept with was his uncanny ability to not only solve each problem that we had along the way, all of which were completely outside of our control like rotted out sub floors and nontraditional ceiling heights between sections of a 70 year old building, but to actually anticipate many of the problems, to varying degrees, that we were going to have and having solutions available for each problem before it ever occurred. I know now that this is the mark of a truly gifted organizational guru. In addition to all of that, Anthony was the constant and steady voice of reason and calm as we worked our way from one inspection to the next, passing every one of them without any setbacks, neither major nor minor in scale. I insisted on being involved every step of the way (a path I certainly recommend to anyone who has even the slightest interest in such endeavors, especially if your guide is Anthony) from the initial floor diagrams and engineered stamped plans to the first day demolition, framing, flooring, dry wall, "magic presto", the ribbon cutting ceremony! We are going to begin Phase II of the build of our one-of-a-kind music studio here in New Albany, Ohio and there is no way that I would even consider doing that job with anyone else. I have recommended Anthony to my parents, friends, clients, accountant, lawyer, doctor, random people I meet at a picnic or in a park with my kids. He is the absolute best at what he does and he makes you feel great about doing it. In all of the many projects that I have had Anthony work on, he has never once let me down. Everyone I refer him to is referring him elsewhere. If you need something done, anything at all as it pertains to any of the skills that I have listed all throughout this review, pick up the phone and call Anthony Pollina and his team at Stouter's Construction. They are the best, it is just that simple.
