Sewing Machine Repair
The machine had to be sent to Dayton, and the entire process took over 3 weeks. Part of the reason was because the technician didn't read all of the comments made by the store personnel. While he replaced the "main shaft", he neglected to repair the "feed dog dial" that was also broken. I went to pick up the machine, and luckily found, before I got home, that the feed dog had not yet been fixed. It had to be sent back to Dayton.

POLARIS STORE - THEY KEPT MY SERGER FOR A MONTH (WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE A WEEK), THEN RETURNED IT SAYING THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPAIR IT. THEY TIGHTENED THE NEEDLE BAR AS REQUESTED, BUT MADE THE MACHINE INOPERABLE IN THE PROCESS. ANOTHER COMPANY FIXED THE PROBLEM IN LESS THAN A WEEK.

Sewing Machine Repair
DESPITE THE FACT THAT I GAVE THEM THE OLD BELT FROM MY SEWING MACHINE TO MATCH (AND THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE MACHINE), THE REPAIR DEPARTMENT SENT A BELT THAT WAS SEVERAL INCHES TOO SMALL FOR MY MACHINE. WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN, THEY ADMITTED THAT THEY KNEW THAT BELT WOULD NOT WORK. I HAD TO MAKE 2 MORE TRIPS TO THE STORE AND FINALLY BRING THE MACHINE ITSELF JUST A TO A $10 BELT FOR THE MACHINE (AND THIS WAS AFTER I HAD ALREADY BOUGHT ANOTHER $700 MACHINE AT THE SAME STORE).
