STERLING THE HANDYMAN

He was really reasonable and on time. He was very talkative, mostly telling me what he was doing and what he needed to do next. He seems to be very straightforward and honest. He seemed to know what he was doing as far as replacing the broken glass pane. The pricing was fair. He was very responsive and he was right on time. I would use him in the future.

The overall experience was very satisfactory. He arrived on time and was very friendly but professional. I would definitely hire him again. The work was professionally done.

Overall it went well. Sterling is up front about what he will and will not do. He did not fix my ceiling fan because he was not comfortable with the way it was initially wired, and he gave me a number for an electrician.

Overall, the project turned out very well.

It went very well, and we would hire him again. He was here on time, did the job that was required, and he did it in timely fashion. The price was good.

Sterling gave an estimate that was far better than other estimates, and provided several references and some useful information about other aspects of the renovation project.

Over several days he and his assistant arrived on time and turned an ugly disaster into smooth, blemish-free walls. I don't even want to think about how much physical labor went into sanding down all the excess paint spray and skimcoat compound.

I am exceedingly happy with the work they did, and everyone that has seen the house after they have left (especially those that saw it before they fixed it all up) are blown away.

Their final bill came in well within the ballpark he provided when doing the initial estimate walk-through and I have not found any hidden issues that would cause me to be unhappy with the work.

Again, he was very nice, but the quality of workmanship was less than we desired.

Sterling was able to get to my house the very next day after I called him (on a holiday even!) and check out the problem. He was punctual, professional and was happy to answer questions that I had about other issues in my house. He said he'd be happy to return if there was a problem. I would use him again for sure.

I have called upon Sterling before in the past and he's very professional and reliable. He shows up on time prepared and ready to go to work. He and a co-worker came over tore down what was left of the fence, cleared some shrubbery away, dug the post holes, poured the concrete and put up the fence in one day. I was impressed by how quickly they put up the fence and cleared away the rubbish. Before he left, my wife asked Sterling if he could replace a door at her mother's house. We have been consistently pleased with Sterling's work ethic and will call upon his services again. Highly recommended.

After a top rated company on Angie's List cancelled on me twice, I called Sterling, and I couldn't be more pleased. He was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule. He called while on his way, which I appreciated. He and his helper were polite and professional, and his price was very reasonable. I will definitely use Sterling again.

I knew Sterling since he replaced my kitchen faucet and did a very nice job. I decided to get an estimate from him for powerwashing and painting the exterior of my house. Sterling gave me the estimate and went over exactly what work would be performed. This included: powerwashing entire house (3 sides=siding, 1 side=wood) and back deck, removing exterior plastic shutters and downspouts, replacing any wood that needed it (none did), caulking gaps, painting all exposed wood and downspouts, restaining deck and finally replacing shutters with new ones. I thought that the price was very reasonable given the all of the work that was to be performed. Sterling has a great group of guys that do various work for him and he used 2-3 guys to help with this job. Sterling closely supervised their activities and made sure that the work they did was done perfectly. Sterling also did some work himself when he had time. The work was 99% completed in about a week which was fine. The entire work area was kept neat and everything was cleaned up when they were done. I was impressed by the quality of the work done, the professionalism of his helpers and the overall experience. Sterling pays very close attention to detail and the final results show this. My house looks like new again! I know that a review of interior painting is needed but hopefully this review will help and also I am planning on having Sterling do some more jobs around the house since I have been extremely satisfied with what he has done for me so far.

Based on Angie's List rating, I called Sterling to inquire about replacing my broken kitchen faucet. Sterling answered and after discussing what I needed, gave me an estimate on when he could do the work. After purchasing the replacement faucet I wanted, I called Sterling back and he came over the very next day on time and replaced the faucet. Before doing any work, he went over the cost and made sure I understood. I thought his cost was quite a bit lower than what a normal plumbing company would charge. He promptly went to work and had all the materials with him that he needed which saved time. He put down blankets around the work area to not make a mess which was great. Total cost was for about two hours worth of work and $12 for additional parts needed (hoses on new faucet were not long enough). He guaranteed his work and said to call him at any time if something wasn't right with his work. I was so impressed by his work ethic and work quality that I got an estimate from him to paint my house. I thought the painting estimate was very reasonable so I scheduled him to do this also. Finally, he mentioned that he won't do any work that he hasn't done before so that definitely made me more comfortable with the work quality. I would not hesitate to recommend Sterling to anyone needing a handyman's services.

Excellent. Mr. Sterling is a very knowledgeable and versatile handyman who is trying to build a customer base by providing prompt and through service. He was able to repair the door frame with the materials he had on hand. He was friendly and conversational, but not to the point that it interfered with the accomplishment of the task at hand. I would not hesitate to call on him again and highly recommend him to others.

Great! He is always punctual, which is very important to me. He also explains how things work and what he did. Plus, my pets love him!

He was kind of in a hurry. Didn't use him for the whole 2 hours, but was still charged $70. He did a good job. I had a problem with my washer - he did come back a few days later and did not charge me.

He was on time, reasonably priced, and stayed until he finished the job.

Sterling returned my call promptly. The job was quick and neat. Cost was reasonable, too. Will use his service again.
