+ 0 moreI called Bob on a Saturday and, within 3 hours, he was out to look over our newly purchased property and give us an estimate. He agreed to bush hog on Sunday. Not only did he arrive early, he brought a helper to mow some of the shorter grassy areas while he worked on the tall grass and weeds, up the hill and around the many trees and creek. He did a great job! Super nice guy. If we ever need it done again, he'll be the one we call.

+ -1 moreThis is the second time I had used Bob to cut down the lot. The second time I called him about 8:30 in the morning. He asked if I could meet him there at 11:00 - can you believe that? I arrived about 10:58 and he pulled up with his tractor and bush whacker about 3 minutes later. We agreed on a price (the same as the previous mowing job he did on this lot), we chatted for about 15 minutes (very nice man) and he went to work. I didn't hang around and left. Two days later I went out to view his work and it was first class. He will be out for the third mowing mid-August. No doubt - call him and see if he will do it. If he can, he will, for a very fair price.
Description of Work: Bob cut down waist-high grass and weeds on my 1.6 acre lot.

+ -1 moreBob exceed our expectation. It looks fantastic! Bob came over to look at the job the same day we called since we are trying to get our house ready to sell. And he was able to fit us in to do the work within a couple of days. The quality and quantity of work that Bob did on his own was amazing. We appreciate his help ... we will call on Bob again and highly recommend him to others.

Best of all he called me after the service to make sure I was satisfied and suggest further reasonable service he could provide if he brought different class of equipment.

Description of Work: They come every year. The work for me during the spring and summer. Mowing wood chipping, brush cleaning. Yard work for large lots of land, like farms and pastures.

However, the employees worked very hard to get the job done, performed the repairs that were needed, and then took out some brush. They did more than we had expected. The price was reasonable for the work they did. I am happy with their services.

+ 1 moreWe have only good things to say about their assessment of the issue, and solution to the problem. A++++++++++. We are also thrilled that a grandfather is passing onto his grandson these skills once used in a rural farm setting. He is teaching quality of workmanship, not how to make the most profit.
Description of Work: We contacted Bob Steele to determine the source of the hole that had appeared in the backyard of our 110 year old house in Harrison West. Two sewer services said it was soil washing into the sewer line via a broken sewer tile. One company wanted to dig up the back yard to replace the sewer line (their est.: $25,000). Bob and his grandson came to access the situation. Bob prodded with tools and determined that the hole was an abandoned cistern in the back yard. He recommended filling the cistern with small pea sized gravel and closing the opening. Two days later they came with a truckload of gravel, which they poured in the cistern opening (using a wheelbarrow) and covered the opening. In addition they removed a fence post broken at the ground, and replaced with a new fence post set in concrete. When settling the final cost, they charged hundreds less than the estimate.
