Steve is a person of integrity and meticulous in his work.  There was a bit of an issue with part of the fabrication and Steve made sure it was corrected.  He spent a lot of extra time to get the best possible result.  Countertop is beautiful!
Would definitely hire him again.

Steve had to go the extra mile in order to provide a quality
installation. Given a crack in the base beneath the hearth, he installed
the new marble over an isolation membrane. He adjusted the depth of the
bed to accommodate marble that was not as thick as the original material.
He did an amazing job of seaming, centering, adjusting for decades
of house settling -- you name it. The finished product looks as though
it is a single piece of beautiful marble. We could not be happier with
the job.

It was a great experience. Steve and his colleagues did a beautiful, professional job. Having never done a major renovation before, my husband and I were totally comfortable working wih Steve. He did a great job of keeping us on task, since we were clueless about many things. We would highly recommend his services.

I prefer not to disclose the amount that I spent on their services. That is something between me and my contractor. They are absolutely super top notch. They are very qualified to do the work. They are very meticulous and very fussy about making sure that the work is done right. They do an excellent job. The customer service that they provided was excellent. I will use their services again in the future.

I thought that their pricing was reasonable. They were very precise and they did an excellent job on the work and my only complaint is that it took longer than expected.

Steve Loretz, who is the owner of Skillful Hands, promptly replied to my first call and came out within a week to look at the bath and share information about remodeling options. Our goal was to make the shower area larger and upgrade the look of the bathroom which had a traditional "'70's look." We also wanted a fan installed since mold in the shower area was an issue. We have a split level home and the bathroom is build on a concrete slab, so we suspected that it would be more affordable to use the existing drain lines. We also knew that we didn't want to get into changing the overall dimensions of the bathroom as that would be beyond our budget. Steve suggested knocking out the wall that divided the shower from the rest of the bath and then enclosing the space with shower glass to open up the feel of the bathroom. He also gave a helpful suggestion for installing a new window sill to match the cultured marble to be used for the vanity top. As a next step, he gave us a list of vendors that he works with and had us pick out the cultured marble, toilet, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, etc. When we decided that we wanted to change the plan for the new shower to match one of the displays from the glass vendor's showroom, he was receptive to making the change. Overall, he was responsive to my email messages throughout the process, was here when he said he would be, cleaned up each day that he and his crew was here, corrected problems without making a fuss (e.g., using shims to level the toilet, rubbing out scratches in the culutred marble) and stayed within the estimate. Additionally, he did extra work and didn't charge us. (We were responsible for staining/finishing the new molding, removing the wall paper, and patching/painting the walls. When one of the patch jobs was not done well, he re-did it for us.) We would definitely have him do any future work for us.
