I've hired RWI to do numerous projects around the house - roof repair, framing, drywall, painting, and most recently basement drainage. For the 7 years I have owned my house, water has always found its way into the basement. Even during the dry season, humidity was no less than 80% with a dehumidifier running 24/7. After talking with Jeff and Carolyn about my issue, they came out to inspect my walls and foundation to make sure there were no obvious structural issues and explained the work that was recommended to get my basement dry. The work involved busting the concrete around the entire perimeter of the basement, digging to the footer and adding weeping tile to collect everything around the foundation. Not only was tile installed, but weep holes drilled throughout every block in the wall to ensure the walls never held any more water. In addition, we decided to add a second sump pump due to the lay of the ground and known amounts of water around the house. Jeff and his helper worked professionally (as they always do) to complete the job correctly and quickly. Since the work has been completed, not a single drop of water has surfaced after numerous heavy rains that would have otherwise resulted in 1/4" puddles prior to the work being complete. And humidity is between 25 - 30% with a much more fresh smell. As always, RWI will be who I call again for my next project. ?

It went Great. Jeff and Carolyn were very prompt and professional. I was purchasing a short sale home and some repairs needed to be done before the FHA loan could be closed. The responded to our request to get in there and give us an estimate very quickly. It was a fair price and the work started promptly. All the work was done quickly and professionally. Jeff answered any questions I had and was very nice to do business with.  Now that I have closed I am calling them back for other repairs.

Last year, we moved into a 20-year old, 7,100 square foot house in Dublin. We needed to have some work done before moving into the house (such as refinishing maple wood flooring on the first floor), but we were new to the area and didn't know who to call. Based upon a friend's recommendation, we called RWI. Jeff and Carolyn were prompt, friendly and knowledgeable about all of the work we needed at that time. Their estimate was reasonable - not as high as I feared, and not low enough to cause me to worry about their skill level. Because we were on a tight time frame before the big move, we gave them keys to the house and told them to come and go as they needed. The maple and the color of the stain proved to be very unforgiving, and they would accept nothing less than perfection in their own work. Although the estimate called only for a light resanding and a new coat of poly, they were unhappy with the initial results and ended up making an executive decision to completely strip and refinish the floors. They worked until 3 or 4 a.m. several days in a row to finish before our move date, and never asked for an increase in the estimate because they felt it was their responsibility to properly estimate the work required before beginning the job. Our floors are absolutely beautiful. We also hired RWI to remove all the banisters on our "double bridal" staircase and the stairs down to the basement and replace them with wrought iron spindles. Carolyn did an excellent job of sourcing the materials for us cost-effectively, and Jeff suggested a pattern for the spindles that turned out great. Our stairs are now safe and modern - worth every penny. Since we moved in, we've had RWI back to do work on several occasions, from little things like hanging all of our artwork throughout the house (including some challenging and/or high installations), to our recent problem with frozen pipes that required replacing 2 shower heads and valves and constructing a heated enclosure to prevent similar problems in the future. Jeff and Carolyn are always the first call I make when we need anything done around the house - inside or out - and I have their number programmed on my cell phone. With our busy schedules and with small children, it's critical to me that we hire contractors who are trustworthy and professional. Jeff and Carolyn have been so wonderful to work with that I don't think twice about giving them our alarm code and free access to the house when we're at work. They are wonderful around our kids, and when they've been here working on weekends, they even ask about nap times to ensure they don't disrupt the schedule! I remember when, shortly after we moved in, my husband injured himself and needed to go to the ER. As I ran across the street to ask the only neighbors we'd met if they could watch our kids for a while, I immediately thought "If they're not home, I can call Jeff and Carolyn and I know they'll help with the kids." I'm not writing this to recommend them as a child care service, but my point is that my level of trust for RWI is so high that I would have been comfortable having them watch my kids. I highly recommend RWI.

They were the nicest people one would ever want to meet. It was all good and I would not want them back. I evaluated them before I took them. I went to see people doing the work. They had a crew, they had a car and they had a logo on their car and all that. Unfortunately that's not who came to my house. The one who came to my house could not work independently and I waited for a month to get these people. It was written in the contract the priority was to have it done in the speediest way of 9 days. It took them 30 or more and it still didn't get done. Finally they came back the last day. I still owed them a $1000 and they worked in the room for one solid day. It was crazy. It was just awful. They left and never came back and I still owed them a $1000. I think they were so embarrassed. They knew how bad they were. They didn't take the marble windows still out. It was in the contract, but the guys forgot to take it out. Then they came in and took it out and they put a piece of trim under the window that was 3 inches short on the inside. They knew it and they just left. They never came back. I had to get someone else to fix that. It was bad after bad after bad and I think she was frustrated and embarrassed, but they were very nice people. I did my homework. They work for a big realtor and unfortunately that's not the team I got here in my house. Her people couldn't handle it. The one I had wasn't qualified. I wanted to say nothing about them. I didn't want to say good, I didn't want to say bad and by not responding to the e-mail I got from Angie's List about these people, I thought I was going to get away with that. I know they wanted to do a good job, but they didn't have the crew that they needed. The people couldn't do the job. The 2 head people would come and check and it wasn't done well. I know their frustration, but I wouldn't refer them. I was so excited to get these people because I've had drunks, I've had drug addicts and I thought I'm getting a good company. I checked their work, I saw them working and I was so excited. I headed off with the lady and the guy, the owners and it just never happened. In November they said that they couldn't get me in till the 6th of December. They wrote it up that it would be done by the 15th and they had barely started working by the 15th, but in two half days… then it got to be the 22nd of December, my son's birthday and I said I can't have anybody in here till after the holidays. I had people coming in from out of town and I had to sleep on a couch because that room wasn't done. Until the 10th of January they were still going on with that. On the 9th of November if they had said that they would not be able to get me in until after the holidays, it would have been fine, but they can't leave me in the middle of the road over Christmas when I'm having people. Their quality was okay. They could do a better job. They started with "F" and they knew it had to be fixed so 3, 4 steps later they were capable, but I didn't see it first go around. Their punctuality was okay. I liked the lady and the guy, but it didn't happen so. I would not use them again in the future.

I was very pleased. They did a very good job. They were thorough and fair in their price.
