Jim Ross has poor quality and even poorer communication. The project started with day one a supporting wall accidentally being removed after “remove” was written on a wall meaning remove the drywall. It only got worse from there with little oversight of subcontractors that continued to damage many areas of our home. Doors not involved in the project were damaged, paint slopped everywhere, $40,000 custom cabinets damaged, cedar beam in our dining room damaged, suspension cables on chandelier cut inappropriately requiring replacement, electrical work needed redone (outlets and fans didn’t function), sprinkler in our yard damaged (no work being done in the yard), bath tub in a bathroom not involved in the project damaged, hardwood floors poorly refinished and damaged, and a dishwasher cut to be installed damaging the seal and no longer works and has a voided warranty. The communication from Jim regarding these errors was typically that we should just fire him and that the subs didn’t damage things “on purpose”. Jim didn’t make good on repairing anything. Buyer beware choose another contractor.

The experience was great! Jim worked through the project expectations for his team and our expectations. His teams kept communication with us on a daily basis as we requested. They were respectful, and reasonable. The project was completed on time and right on budget! They are amazing.

I was very pleased with the entire remodeling job.  It was done on time and would certainly use them again.

Jim Ross came to my house to bid on a kitchen and bathroom renovation. He had a slick folder with references and information, and I was very impressed with him at this meeting. We talked about what I wanted, he gave some suggestions, and took a lot of measurements. This occurred on June 27, and Jim said he would have a proposal for me after the July 4 holiday. I did not receive anything, so I called Jim on July 17, and he said he would get the proposal to me by the end of the week. I called him again on July 24, and again he said he would get it to me by the end of the week. I told him if I didn't have it, I would assume he wasn't interested. He assured me he was, but I never heard from him again. I don't know how good this company is, but this lack of professionalism as far as communication certainly did not leave a good impression.

From the start to the finish, we have been extremely impressed with Jim Ross, Gary, John and their wood floor installer. Jim's teams were extremely considerate of our pets (2 cats) and our desires for this project.  Even when I didn't know what words to use to convey the desired result, Gary listened and was able to communicate back to me that he heard what we wanted to see and experience with this renovation.   John was on time, personable, and offered his knowledge in electrical as well as educating me with regard to the insulation of the shower.   I've forgotten the man's name that did the work on the hardwood floors.  Amazing beautiful floors.  When we saw the wood grate for the heat vent ... we did the "happy dance" every time we enter the room.. :)
Amazing to us, Jim's estimate came out almost to the penny.   Crazy Good! 

Their quoted price was about $67,000. They got good, professional references and submitted a good design.

Estimate was timely and detailed. Jim Ross was professional and made us feel comfortable throughout the project.  He offered many suggestions and alternatives to our original idea; some we took, some we didn't.  However, the changes suggested by Jim worked out well and added to the final product.  His communication with us was exceptional.  All of his sub-contractors spoke highly of Jim and the company.  The carpentry work was spectacular to say the least.  Project ran about 3 months but any delays were acceptable and for good cause.
