ROBERT GILMORE

Bob Gilmore was recommended to me by a family member. The family member did say that it was really hard to get in touch with him. I called Bob several times before he called back. He did show up on time for the estimate appointment. He added a lot of jobs onto the list I gave him (jobs that I did not think needed to be done). He said he would call me with an estimate in a couple of days. After 2 weeks, I called and left a message and the next day I got an email from "Kristin Gilmore" simply titled "Proposal". I thought it was spam and very nearly deleted it. After reading it, I found his estimate. I emailed back stating the items I wanted to have done (not the items he had added to the list). I didn't hear back from him. A week later I called him and he answered the phone, saying "oh yeah, I was going to call you tonight." Right. On the phone we agreed that he would start the work the following Tuesday and he would call me on Monday to confirm. On Monday he did not call so I called and emailed him. He did not respond and I took the day off work on Tuesday and sat home all day waiting for him and he never showed up.

HE IS VERY GOOD. WE HAVE USED HIM FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THOROUGHLY TRUSTWORTHY.

GAVE GOOD ADVICE ON MATERIALS THAT HE INSTALLED. I ASKED MR GILMORE TO RETURN AND DO A SECOND JOB NEXT WEEK. WHICH INVOLVES REPLACING SOME CERAMIC TILE AND INSTALLING WALLPAPER IN A BATHROOM.

DIDN'T CALL BACK

DID WORK SAME DAY THAT I CALLED. PROMPT AND LEAK IS GONE AND WORKS FINE. PRICE WAS $150 LESS THAN OTHER ESTIMATES. DOES NOT HAVE A TRIP CHARGE. VERY HONEST.

BOB WAS VERY RESPONSIVE BEFORE THE HIRE, BUT BECAME HARD TO GET A HOLD OF FOR FOLLOW-UP CARE. THE FLOOR STILL NEEDS A SECOND COAT OF SEALANT, BUT HE IS NOT RESPONDING AT ALL ANYMORE. BOB ALSO GAVE ONE PRICE VERBALLY DURING THE ASSESSMENT, AND GAVE A MUCH HIGHER PRICE IN WRITING THE SECOND TIME. HE WOULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY THE PRICE WAS MORE, AND AGREED TO COME DOWN ON THE PRICE A LITTLE, BUT NOT TO HIS ORIGINAL AGREEMENT. THE FLOOR LOOKS VERY GOOD, BUT WE WOULD NOT HIRE HIM AGAIN BASED ON HIS UNPROFESSIONALISM AND UNRESPONSIVENESS.

HE HAD TO BE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES. HE WAS NOT PREPARED TO DO OUR JOBS AND WAS PAID WHILE HE MADE SEVERAL TRIPS TO HOME CENTERS FOR SUPPLIES.

VERY NICE AND DID A NICE JOB. I AM VERY PLEASED!

WE WOULD DEFINITELY CALL MR. GILMORE AGAIN. HE DID A GREAT JOB, EVEN DID A FEW THINGS WE DIDN'T THINK OF BUT APPRECIATED THAT HE DID THEM. THOUGHT HIS PRICE FOR ONE HOUR'S WORK MAY HAVE BEEN A BIT HIGH. BUT WOULD USE HIM AGAIN.

ANYBODY WHO NEEDS THIS TYPE OF WORK DONE. REPAIRED FENCE THAT WAS MY NEIGHBORS W/OUT ASKING ME FIRST.

ALL WORK WAS DONE AS SPECIFIED AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE REQUIRING GENERAL MAINTENANCE.
