Description of Work: We signed with Ron Richardson to replace 2 patio doors on 8/13/14. Two weeks later we called to check status of our job as we had not heard from him as promised. His office did not have the order. Came to find out it was in his briefcase. Long story short, after many calls and delays he could not deliver what he said he could. The only thing that kept us from giving this incompetent contractor an F was that he refunded our $983 deposit on 11/3/14. Maybe he is better now Angie's List...

Description of Work: Richardson Exteriors replaced the original aluminum siding with vinyl, enlarged the downspouts, and made minor touch-ups on our roof. All of this improves our house's insulation and fixes roof drainage issues, including a very intermittent leak in the dining room which would only show under heavy rain. We are very pleased!

Description of Work: They replaced two windows in our home. The initial contact was very quick and positive. The workman who came was quite professional and did a very good job, communicated with us during the process about what we wanted done in a special situation, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. Unfortunately, the replacement job was quite delayed (original estimate was 6 week after initial contact, and it ended up being 3 months). During that time, we had to contact them to find out what was going on several times. On the day of service, the installer was delayed (and didn't call), but he still finished in good time.

Description of Work: Replaced entire roof and painted and replaced trim all around the roof line where it had separated from the house. The description of the work was clear and written down and all the work was top notch. | |The roofing took several days rather than the one or two days expected, but they started a week earlier, too, so the end date was sooner. I am fine with them fitting me in when the whole job is completed earlier than expected. The crew tried to be as unobtrusive as the could and cleaned up very well when they left. | |The trim was very well done. Painted ahead of time - both inside and out. He was even able to replace details (like the keystone piece above the window). The only difference we had was I thought certain parts of the trim were included in the quote which were not, but there was a per additional foot cost in the contract and Richardsons was responsive in getting the additional trim done. This was not a surprise, as the original quote was lower than I expected. I even had some special requests (like please remove the old bird nest) which were done, too. | |Overall I was impressed with how smoothly a job like this could go. I see that many of the recommendations for Richardson Exteriors are for smaller jobs, but they can handle a large job with more than one part easily and well.

 + 1 moreIt was terrific! Ron Showed us samples of the new doors and gave including options for the new trim. He explained every choice available and explained why our old doors were no longer giving us good use. He gave us a date for installation. The job was performed on time. The old doors were taken out and the new doors put in on the day they were supposed to be. Every bit of mess was cleaned up. We now have beautiful doors at work easily. One year later we called Ron to check our gutters to see if they were causing a wet basement. His company man checked our gutters and told us they were fine and suggested we have our tree roots checked out. I love a company that doesn't try to sell you something you dont need!

When I explained the situation and told Ron that I was worried that the gutter might fall he said that he could come to the house that afternoon. He looked at it and told me that they could re-attach the gutter and that I would not need a new one . He and Kirk re-attached the gutter in about an hour. They explained how the gutter had not been properly attached previously and attached it properly. It was a pleasure to work with Richardson exteriors. Both Ron and Kirk were very professional and took the time to explain what they were doing. Ron also took the time to answer other questions that I had about windows and siding. In the course of our conversation it was apparent that they are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend using Richardson Exteriors.
Description of Work: Richardson Exteriors re-attached a gutter on the second story of my house. The gutter had come loose on a windy day and was dangling. I also asked Ron if he would take a look at a gutter that appeared to be leaking on another part of my house. He checked out the leak and found that the gutter was clogged. He removed the clog at no charge.

 + -1 moreRichardson identified the source of my problems and corrected what was necessary. He only bid what was necessary, and completed the work when weather permitted (in January) and left a clean job-site.
Description of Work: This was a repair of a mixed flat and shingle roof of a 4-family townhouse building that I manage. I had another vendor try to stop some chronic leaking in a few places, to no success. Richardson identified the issues and replaced the shingles on the sloped roof and repaired rubber and flashing on the flat portion of the roof. The problems are resolved.

Richardson Exteriors came out and detected that we needed larger gutters. They came out the next week and installed the new gutters. We have not had any problems with rain overflow or leaves. They had a very quick turn around and cleaned up after themselves. They are super professional and I highly recommend them.

Ron Richardson was willing to come out to our house several times to answer questions and provide information before we even chose his company to do the work. He and Kirk Free, the project manager, always addressed any questions or concerns that came up throughout the project. All the workers were easy to work with, showed up when they were scheduled and cleaned up. The finished product looks great.
