Repairs By James

I called James at 7:30 on Monday morning. I explained that after the weekend storms I discovered a leak coming through the roof. James told me he could be out the same day. At 1:00 James called me and arrived at my home. He assessed the leak, took a photo to show me the problem and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. I've seen no leaking since then. James is fast, thorough, and reasonably priced. I will call him again when the need arises.

It went well. He was straightforward. Seemed reasonably priced. Good personality. He also looked a couple things on my roof that he recommended need repair . I plan to hire him to fix those as well.

I called James at 6:30 AM to request he fix a dislodged gutter that was banging against the side of my house. He told me my house was on his way to other appointments he had for the day and he could come before those appointments. He arrived shortly after 8:00 AM and reattached the gutter with better than original hangers. He finished the job in less than 30 minutes. He also advised me about a potential trouble spot on my roof and told me what to look for. He will be my first call for any roofing issues in the future.

I noticed that a downspout had disconnected from the gutter in front of our house, likely due to high winds over the weekend. I contacted James, who immediately replied (on the weekend, no less) and was out the next morning in less-than-ideal conditions to fix. Second time I've worked with James, and I wouldn't call anyone else.

James did a great job repairing and replacing several gutters and downspouts on my home. I had a larger company come out originally, but they were only interested in up-selling and price gouging. Everything went well. However I requested alley flashing and what was installed did not match the roof. I will have to paint the flashing to match. I wish they painted it or installed the correct flashing.

I called and described the problem. He said he would be out the next day after completing scheduled work. We looked at the situation inside and outside. He noted the problem and gave me a price. He completed the work. This was on 9/27. It has not leaked since--even in the heavy rains we have had the last few days.

I had several gutters and downspouts that needed replaced on my house. James took the time to walk me through my options and provided me with a reasonable estimate to get the work done. James was on-time for all appointments, courteous and thorough in his work...I was very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Repairs by James for any gutter repair or replacement work.

He did a great job. We have used him a couple of times now and plan to continue to do so on exterior remodeling and roofing projects.

James and his associate did an excellent job on the repairs needed. I'd hire him again. He did an A+ job.

James was responsive, diagnosed several issues with our gutters and window framing, was clear about the repair timeline and fair about the price. He worked quickly, and the results have been great. Both in sustained rains and flash floods, our basement has been dry and we have not noticed any issues around our window frames. Very happy customers!

Fabulous! James was courteous, clear on what needed to be done (with pictures), and quickly did the work. Afterwards he showed pictures of the improvements. It was a delightful experience!

We needed to have our gutters checked because of excessive over-flowing at the point of the downspouts and causing a wet basement. Our gutters had been cleaned on 12/4/2014 by Ohio Roof and we purchase gutter guards to eliminate this yearly expense. Based on the water in our basement, the basement repair company, Rogers, called in James to check our gutters. It was discovered that the downspouts had not been cleaned in December and the gutter guards had been incorrectly installed. James was certified to install our brand of gutter guards and corrected both issues. His price and professionalism was the reason why we choose to use him rather than having Ohio Roof come back and correct. We had concerns that it would not be done correctly after talking with the owner who was explaining that there were different ways to install the gutter guards. We did not have any confidence in getting it done right so choose to spend more money and happy with working with James.

We called 10 different people/businesses on a Sunday (nobody would answer or call back). James not only answered, but came right out to stop the leak that was starting to damage the ceiling drywall. He explained it was due to an "ice dam" and climbed right up and worked hard to complete clearing the snow/ice off of our roof. This was no small job, as our house is rather large.
