At Professional Eye Care Associates our patients come first. We provide the very best in eye care through a variety of specialties. Our staff of professionals are dedicated to providing excellent patient care and outstanding customer service. Our doctors are among the most sought after in dry eye and low vision treatment, specialty contact lens fitting, family eye care and refractive surgery consultation. We are providers for most managed care plans, traditional and Medicare insurance programs. Please check with your insurance company before visiting Professional Eye Care Associates for plan requirements and prior approvals. Our associates will file your primary and secondary claims. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Medical and vision insurance and any co-payment and/or deductible is required at the time of service. There are 3 optometrists at this site. Recommendation was for reading glasses. No estimate was provided on when those same glasses would be ready. In result, since the service took place on July 13th, I am still waiting on those same glasses.

They were amazing.  They sent my new patient paperwork well ahead of time over email, so I was able to print it and complete it ahead of time to save valuable time at the appointment.  I still arrived early, but was addressed immediately and taken VERY good care of.
The doctor was very friendly and answered all my questions and was very gentle with my eyes.  He did not force me to have any tests I did not need and gave me the option to refuse anything I wanted.  
I was just overwhelmed with how kind and friendly every person I encountered there was.  I will definitely use them again and definitely would send any of my friends there!
Also, working downtown the location is absolutely perfect.

I highly recommend this practice to anyone. Every employee in this practice is proficient, knowledgeable and caring. Anytime I've had an issue it was professionally,and quickly resolved. The doctors are wonderful, there have been no unnecessary treatments, whatever it is they will diagnose, treat appropriately and or refer to other doctors if the problem is out of their scope. They are excellent with seniors, and give senior discount on glasses. Can't say enough good things about this practice, their patients matter.

This office and their staff are very professional and friendly.  I have always had a good experience and would recommend their services to anyone.  I recently decided to try contacts again, this is the first time for this office, and I feel very comfortable with the exam and the direction that the doctor is taking this.

I was experiencing difficulty with my new glasses so Dr. Dickson worked me in on a Saturday morning.  He is always pleasant. helpful and willing to assist when circumstances arise outside normal business hours.  I have been a patient for many years and dread the day he decides to retire although he assures me that it won't be for several years.

It was really easy to set up and appointment.  Staff was friendly.  Dr. Shewring was very nice and professional.  I was a little nervous going to a new optometrist after all these years but Dr. Shewring was great.  I will definately be going back.  Contact lens fitting was perfect and so was the price.  Even gave me information for a rebate as well.

I would tell others to get the first appointment of the day.  She does not keep her appointments on schedule, at least for me.  I don’t know what my husband’s experience was yesterday when he took my daughter.  Their availability is easy and the office environment is good.

Everything went smoothly with my appointments and I now have contacts that I'm very happy with.  I did have to return the first set of contacts that I was given but they were quickly replaced with the correct prescription without any problems. They have a machine that you look into and it reads your eye and gives a very close estimate of your prescription to give the doctor a starting point.  Very cool. Much faster and efficient.  Each person that I came into contact with was very friendly and professional.

I really like her. Her whole practice is really good. I have always felt that she is a very good doctor. She spends time. She seems like she is up on everything. I have always felt comfortable and she is very thorough. I have a lot of confidence in her. The whole practice has generally been good and I have seen some other doctors there when she was busy. They are pretty good about the waiting time. I usually don’t have any scheduling problems.

He is just more than professional.  He is very caring.  He is a great doctor.  He got me right in.  His staff was great, and he was great.  He did the screening for me, and he was great with that.  I was in for some eye pain and he gave us some drops actually.  He recommended some stuff for me.  He knocked everything out of the way.  He followed up with me as well.  He was very professional.  He is overall a great eye doctor.

He’s great. He is very personable and I really like that his office is very close to my home. He is very approachable and his staff is very nice. They don’t hassle you about the insurance aspect, they just take care of it themselves. They do have a large selection of frames to choose from but if I want to shop around, they didn’t try to pressure me to buy from them but just gave me my prescription.
