Extremely short notice of when crew would be here. They did just flashing around chimney, then billed us and claimed the job was done when we weren't home. They even sent pictures to prove the job was done, that when you zoomed in showed missing and broken tile. Said it was a misunderstanding at office. When they came a second time, they just repaired tiles we sent pictures of that needed done. Prepared to leave and I had to ask them to go up again and remove broken tiles blocking drainage of roof. We still had missing, broken and loose tiles. On third trip to our house, the supervisors came and my husband came home to supervise them! We still have work we want done on roof, but will hire different company. If we hadn't owned a ladder long enough to check the work ourselves we would have been taken advantage of.

It was great working with Precision. I received a call back shortly after placing an inquiry and Mark was quick to come out and give us an estimate. They completed the work well but there were a few patches of gutter that were not painted. After talking with Precision they quickly sent out a crew to touch up the gutters and they look great and move water like they should. I would have them back again if we need anything else with our box gutters.

Our roof was leaking so we called this company. Ed D. came out the same day. He correctly identified the chimney as the source of the leak. He stated he needed to build a scaffold and that this was going to be a big job requiring a large crew. He wrote me an estimate which read "scaffold chimney to access cap for replacement" at a cost of $5000 plus a $500 charge for coming out on the day I called. He was friendly and seemed to be on the up and up but due to the high cost I felt I should get another estimate before proceeding. I called another company and they completed the work with 2 people in a few hours for under $1000. They felt bad that the repair costed so much as well. Home owner beware.

Quote was very competitively priced (lower than other reputable service providers who provided quotes), work was completed in timely manner and no further issues with leaking after work was performed. Would use company again for any roof issues.

Communication with the company is very difficult as they don't have an office staff.  If you call Ed on his cell phone then you have good communication and they will do a great job.  They really know how to fix slate and their prices are very good.

Ed and his crew came out for an estimate on repairing or replacing the box gutters on our German Village home built in 1918. Wasn't expecting the high cost for replacing the gutters (which was high for all companies we received estimates from), but Ed was willing to work with us on getting repairs done instead.

Ed was very flexible with getting our work on the schedule within a reasonable time frame. Ed's crew he had out were very professional, with the minor exception of leaving some work materials in the yard over night (they will get stolen in German Village), and his crew left some materials and trash at the end of the job. In both cases Ed took care of these issues personally.

We did have one minor issue after about 6-7 months with one of the areas of the gutter they repaired, which began to leak again and stained the fascia wood we had recently had replaced and painted (after the gutters were fixed). Again, Ed addressed this personally and came out with his crew to fix the gutter issue and repainted the fascia wood.  I would say that it took him a few days (and multiple phone calls / texts) to finally get out, which was a problem since we were about to list our house, but he fit us in and finished the repairs for us prior to the first house showing.

The estimate took a few appointments as Ed was out doing other jobs as I recall. When he did come, he spent a lot of time with us explaining the options. We had had a very high estimate from another company and were looking for a more affordable option, and Ed was able to provide one that I am hoping will do the trick for a few years to come at least. He even helped us with an issue unrelated to the gutters that we just happened to bring up while he was standing there. The work was performed about 3 weeks after we called to schedule. I can't see the inside of the gutters but so far the repair seems to be good. They did a good job matching the coat on the chimneys to the same color. They did leave a lot of gutter-debris on the ground instead of bagging it up. We had a question about one of the chimneys after the work was done. It took a few calls but Ed came out himself and looked at the work and talked with me about it. Overall we were happy to find a company willing to work with us on the budget and our goals for the house. It can be a little difficult to get Ed to come by, but he does always return phone calls, and when he does come he spends as much time as you need.

He was hateful to the homeowners. He did not complete the job properly. You are supposed to go inside the house to look at the ceiling before you put on a roof. He never did this and put the roofing tile right on top of the house and the nails came through one of the rooms. He said he would fix it but wanted $2000.

He was very informative and professional and really seemed to know the slate roof business, installation, etc.

Precision Slate and Tile promptly responded to by request to have old box qutters repaired. I had a specific date that the work had to be completed and they met the deadline. What is even more unbelievable in this day and age, Ed authorized the work without a deposit! Thank you Ed.

We started with roof repair, and when it became clear that our roof was beyond saving, Precision replaced it for us, which was an unusually complex project for a number of reasons. Ed was great the whole way through.
