We called Nutter Handyman Services to request an electrician come to our home to replace our bathroom light fixtures.
The owner, Chuck Nutter, explained their "priority scheduling", and scheduled one of his staff to complete the work.
We were more than happy to pay extra to get the light fixtures switched in a hurry before our party.
Nutter Handyman's employee was friendly & professional.
We highly recommend Nutter Handyman Services to our neighbors, friends & Angie's list members because they are professionals
you can trust to be in your home & complete the job in a timely fashion. We hope to use Nutter Handyman Services again in the future.
A trench was dug on the south side of my house and sloped away from the house. It was lined with plastic and filled with gravel. The window well was dug two feet deep under a fresh air vent. The window well was filled with gravel for proper drainage. As with past experience, Nutter Handyman was responsive to my needs and did an excellent job.
Demoed out stucco to reveal all rotten wood. Removed deteriorated band boards and installed new pressure treated band board. Removed bad framing and reframed wall. Covered wall with Tyveck and installed trim and z-bar flashing above windows. Cleared debris from crawl space. Repaired and painted stucco.
The work performed was by Matt and Eric was excellent. They kept me informed as to what they were doing and the available alternatives.
As with other projects, it is very nice to work with Carol who does the scheduling and makes sure that the project is finished timely. She actually managed to find a period between the rains for Matt to demo the wall and get it secured before the rains started again. The coordination between Matt and Carol was excellent.
My daughter and son-in-law complained that the hot water in their house was only tepid. I examined the tank and could not see the pilot light. I assumed it was out. I tried to light it without apparent success. Rather than take the apparatus apart myself, I called Nutter. They explained that there was a minimum charge of $90 for someone to come to the house. I don't recall how much time the $90 would cover. Anyway, I agreed to the charge, and the technician arrived as promised. He also could not see the pilot from the outside of the tank, so he took it apart and found that it was lit. He put it back together and all has been well.
David did a great job of installing the new front door and storm door. He had to custom fit the door to the existing door jam and repair old lock openings. His carpentry skills were evident by the work results. Cleanup was performed daily.
"We were hired to install a new deadbolt and lockset on an interior office door. I've installed MANY of these types of locks and handsets and when I used my door drilling equipment and templates for mortising out the faceplate of the door latch, it mortises out a rectangle that has sharp 90 degree corners. Unfortunately, when I pulled the latch out of the packaging that was purchased and provided by the customer, I soon discovered that the corners were actually rounded with a very small radius. This is not something that I had experienced with Schlage locksets up to that point in time. Unfortunately, it was too late. I had already mortised out the door edge to receive a faceplate that had sharp 90 degree corners and now all I had to install was one with radiused corners. This did not affect the performance of the lockset but it did affect the cosmetic appearance of the lockset faceplate. I alerted the customer of the mistake I had made immediately and we agreed that I would go ahead and finish installing the lockset and then go out and find a replacement latch that matched the finish and had the sharp corners on the faceplate. Unfortunately, I completely dropped the ball on this customer. I have no good excuse, other than the fact that I kept putting it off and didn't set aside the dedicated time to rectify the problem. The customer and I communicated back and forth 2 separate times, but I clearly FAILED to follow-up and correct this situation. I'm pleased to report that this customer has recently agreed to allow me to come back to his house next Tuesday and we'll get this situation taken care of at NO CHARGE. I intend to give him a Nutter Handyman Services Gift Certificate for his troubles and to compensate him for the poor service that I provided him with. This lack of follow-up on my end was inexcusable and inconsistent with our service standards."
