I would not recommend them. They gave me horrible service. They kept my computer and kept telling me that I was going to need parts and never got the parts in. It was just a horrible mess. I ended up picking it up and not having it repaired. They didn't charge me. They took the computer apart but never fixed it. It could be that mine was just a fluke.

Installed new wireless printer; cleaned up and reorganized hard disk space; dealt with email problems (2 visits required due to defective printer, and 1 remote follow-up). The technician was conscientious and professional; I was very pleased with the service.

Need a screen repair and it took 2 weeks. I did not receive a call from them to explain delay. I had to call multiple times. When I picked up my laptop the screen was working but my finger mouse pad did not work which was working when I drop it off two weeks prior. They talked to me as if I damaged it and didn't want to take any responsibility. They talked to me in a less than professional manner and did not try to reslove the matter prior to my leaving.

The service was punctual, professional, and well done.  The service provider took good care of the computer and was very pleasant.  He was also very nice to my friendly cat, who came to visit during the repair.  We would definitely call My PC Guy again!

My computer got a virus. I looked at Angie's List and chose My-PC-Guy and called. An appointment was scheduled that was timely for me. James arrived about 1/2 hour early, but I was pleased with that, and he set to work. I know less about computers than a 7 year old and he explained some of what he was doing to me. He saved the files and restored the computer to working order. It took about 2.5 hours. Everything worked except my e-mail and I knew from a previous experience I could restore that through my service provider. James left and I discovered my service provider could not restore my e-mail. I called and James walked me through what I needed to do to activate another browser so I could get e-mail. No additional charge and about 10 minutes of time. My overall bill was reduced by 15% by being an angie's list member. And all is now well with my cyber world.

Had used them once before to set up a wireless network. It went fine.
This time, not very good.
My wireless printer developed a problem scanning.
They worked several hours on Friday, August 23 and over an hour on Monday, August 26.
In the end, the scanner part of the printer was functioning. However, the print-quality of the printer quickly stopped.
So, I went from a printer that would print but not scan to a printer that would scan but not print.
I bought a new printer at Staples, had Staples install it, and now have a printer that PRINTS AND SCANS!
Out $200.

One of my laptop computers got the FBI anti-piracy warning virus.  I found My-PC-Guy on Angie's List and called them the evening of 3-7-2013.  James answered, and was very knowledgeable and helpful.  He quoted $139.95 over the phone.  I brought the laptop to their Gahanna location the next morning, and gave it to Keith who was also knowledgeable, helpful, and a pleasure to work with.  The laptop was fixed and ready for me to pick up the next day (3-9).  Including the 15% Angie's List coupon, the total cost including tax was $126.99.  I was so pleased with the fast turnaround and reasonable cost, that I dropped off another laptop at the same time that I picked up my first one.  I figured it was worth it to have My-PC-Guy fix it and get it right, rather than me continuing to unsuccessfully fiddle around with it's particular issues.  I picked up my 2nd laptop on 3-13, and paid the same amount ($126.99) as with the first laptop.  Both laptops have been running fine ever since.  Overall, I was quite pleased with My-PC-Guy, and am happy to have found them.  Compared to a different company that I used in the past, My-PC-Guy was much more reasonable, had a much faster turnaround time, and provided much better 1-on-1 personal service.  I highly recommend them!

I took computer to have conectivity issues fixed i.e. disconection from internet when ever computer slept. I explained problem and even took pictures with phone to show issues. Recieved phone call next day to inform me my hard drive was fried and would cost $200.00 but would resolve al issues, I agreed to have work done. Two days later was told it was ready to pick up and I did. Brought computer home and hooked up, had the same problem as I started with, disconection from internet. I called back, told them I still had the same problem as I started with and felt that they had just sold me sominthing that I didnt need. they told me to bring it back and they would make it thier number one priority to resolve my issues, I did. The next day they called and said problem solved and they would even deliver to my home, I agreed and so far so good. I dont think I would use them again because I still feel like I was sold what I did not need.

I bought a new laptop computer and needed help setting up the printer and scanner, and also transferring email and files to a new laptop. I called My PC Guy, they made an appointment for me for two days after my call. The office help were professional and helpful! The technician was an hour late, but he called to let me know he would be late. This is reasonable because how long a computer repair will take is hard to predict. He did everything I asked and did it in a timely manner. The price was reasonable since they came to my home to do the work. I would definitely use My PC Guy again!

They called me after the review was left and they came back out and took care of the problem very quickly for me. They took care of the problem to my satisfaction!

I went with My PC guy for two reasons; 1)  High ratings on Angies List; 2) Close to home.  I called about a blue screen error message message that was recurring.  I asked for estimates and they provided that standard service if dropped off was $135.  I dropped off my tower on a Tuesday, described the problem and the tech said he had a pretty good idea of the cause.  I went out of town and when I returned called about my unit.  It was done and I picked it up.  I mentioned that I found My PC guy on Angies list and the tech said there was a coupon available to print off.  I asked how I would print off a coupon when my computer was there in front of him?  They gave me the discount when I picked up the machine.   My computer now runs well and the recurring blue screen message has not reappeared.  I am completely satisfied and believe the high ratings are justly deserved.

Took in the Laptop, fiddled around elsewhere for an hour, and went back to pick up the Laptop.  Discussed the hard drive issue on my PC.  Went home, checked my PC's hard drive again, then took it in around 4pm the same day.  Keith called the next morning after running the free diagnostics.  Hard Drive was BAD.  Keith quoted the price, including options available.  Told him what I wanted and the PC was ready for me to pick up by 2pm.

SEE ABOVE.       I LIKED THE TECHNICIAN. HE WAS COURTEOUS AND TALKED WITH ME AS HE WORKED.
MY MAJOR ERROR WAS IN NOT ASKING ABOUT THE COSTS BEFORE HE STARTED WORKING. AT THE ONE HOUR MARK I WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THE STATUS OF THE REPAIR AND THE SPECIFIC REPAIRS THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE,
I WAS ALSO UPSET THAT THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT MAKE THE REPAIR OF MY COMPUTER A PRIORITY AND KEEP ME INFORMED ABOUT WHEN IT WOULD BE FINISHED AND RETURNED.
The biggest error I made was to confuse the names of two computer repair shops. By mistake I called the one that had far less reviews than the shop I planned to call.

"Customer, We are very sorry that you are less than satisfied and we always do everything in our power to stay in communications and let our customers know where we are in the repair process and how much we anticipate it will cost. There are many variables when a computer has a VIRUS and we do not know the extent of the damage until we COMPLETELY remove it and at that point your computer could work fine or it could need a COMPLETE Reload of the OPERATING SYSTEM as yours did. I have talked with the Technician and it is our protocol that if the system has a Sever VIRUS that it is best to bring the system back to our office to complete the process of removing the virus because it can take hours and several different programs , you where hesitant to allow him to take it because you used that system for work. So he tried to resolve the issue at your home and was unable to because your OPERATING System was CORRUPT due to the type of VIRUS you had. When we schedule ANY onsite Service call we tell you the hourly rate and and we try everything in our power to resolve the problem as fast and effectively as possible . As you can see in ALL of our reviews that we are very conscience of COST and TIME and I personally would like to have the opportunity to resolve any issue that you had with my company. My PC Guy was very responsive. He arrived the day after I called and spent several hours working out my problems. The Sharepoint issue was complicated, but he was determined to find a way and stuck with it until it worked. I appreciated his friendly manner and the way he explained everything that was done.

He was here for about 90 minutes.  He explained what he was doing as he worked.  When I offered to go away and let him work in peace, he said that he enjoyed talking to people.  He might have finished sooner if I had gone, but I learned more by staying.  Overall it was a good experience.
