Muetzel Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

I called Muetzel to discuss providing an estimate on a plumbing problem I had. I spoke with Emily & Melissa in their office, both of whom were very nice & helpful. I was directed by Melissa to speak with another individual - upon attempting this, I was routed into voice mail. I left a brief message about my problem & phone number. I did not receive a return call. I am disabled & homebound so I was able to be reached. They were our first choice, but after not receiving a return call, I worked with another company who did make the return call. Although they probably provide great service, I would suggest they speak with those tasked with this duty to be diligent, as in this case, the failure to return a call resulted in the loss of a customer. I will use the other company in the future.

They guy was very nice. He had me doing laundry in 20 minutes.

Our usual company was completely booked and could not service us for several days. Muetzel was able to send a plumber right out, and our sink was usable again within an hour or so. Not only that, but we were able to use an Angie's List coupon, and also received a discount from the company for being an AL member. The technician was pleasant, fast, and left our sink sparkling clean when done -- no mess left behind. Well done! They may have just become our new ''preferred'' plumbers!

The gentleman who installed the new sump pump was congenial and polite. He explained the problem clearly. He left the work area clean.

Great experience, hard working, polite, and reasonably priced. The plumber was very prompt and wasted no time identifying the problem and fixing it appropriately. Overall will use this company for future plumbing needs.

Called the company on Thursday They said they would be out on Friday. NO SHOW. NO CALL.

Plumber was late -- but he did call. Then ran water, listened, ran water, listened about 15 times and determined we really did not have a leak. Then charged us $141.00 - I can understand the 30.00 service fee I thought I would have to pay, but $141.00 to do nothing! Called company to complain -- was told I would be called back -- never was! Had another company come -- told me the same thing - NO CHARGE!

They found the leak. They attached charges to each attempt to find the leak (same visit). They cut through the ceiling and found a crack in the joint of the piping. As they explored different things, they created necessary work (re-sealing after checking the tub grids drainer, etc.) They were here for about 3 hours and used just a small part in the end. They were the second plumber that looked at it, so we were grateful they got it done. I'd consider hiring them again after getting other quotes because of the way they charge for services (by job rather than by hour).

They were punctual and professional. It was an all day job but the price was comparable for the service that I received. They were courteous. I would use them again.

Our hot water heater had leaked water all over the basement from the pressure valve. We called Mietzel Plumbing, to make an appointment and got one for the following day. Mike was on time, very personable, worked hard to correct the situation with the least cost to us. Muetzel's policy is to try to fix the existing fixtures before replacing. He was able to correct our problem in a minimum amount of time. He gave us a first time customer discount along with the coupon from Angie's online, making it very reasonable for the repair. We will not hesitate to use them again.

The technicians arrived on time, were polite and inspected the leak. They ascertained that the cartridge in the shower valve needed to be replaced. They advised that they would need to go to a hardware store to get the cartridge. Because they were expedient in getting the new valve, they cut down on the initial estimated price of $279 to $238.30, and we were able to use the $20 coupon from their listing in Angie's online to reduce the price further. I was very happy with the work, and would not hesitate to use them again.

Plumber was punctual, helped diagnose the problem effectively, discouraged me from doing something else I thought I needed done. He did good work and was courteous.

I felt that the time stated for the project was more than it actually took so I was over charged. They charge $109 and hours which is higher than most. He was a little late in arriving. There is still a little leakage in the toilet tank.

The two plumbers were on time, courteous, and competent. They priced the work first for acceptance before beginning work. There was no pressure whatsoever--very customer-oriented. They worked quietly and disposed of all debris.

THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT, SOLVED THE PROBLEM IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME. THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE & WE WOULD CERTAINLY CALL THEM AGAIN.

I was very impressed. The job was difficult, but they managed to get it done at a reasonable price.

Shawn and Wes were very professional. They cleaned up the areas worked on, very well. Their respect of my home and time were much appreciated!

SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD. THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT WITHIN ABOUT TWO HOURS OF ME CALLING THEM. THE TECHNICIAN WAS PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY AND MADE THE REPAIR IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES. I USED MY ANGIE'S LIST COUPON AND ONLY PAID $108. A COMPETITOR WANTED TO CHARGE ME CLOSE TO $400 FOR THE SAME SERVICE.

MIKE FROM MUETZEL WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HE EXPLAINED WHAT MOST LIKELY WAS THE CAUSE OF OUR PROBLEM WITH THE WATER HEATER: DEPOSITS AROUND THE HEAT SENSOR INSIDE THE WATER HEATER WHICH CAUSE THE SENSOR TO BE LESS SENSITIVE TO TEMPERATURE CHANGES. HE ADVISED US TO TURN OUR WATER TEMPERATURE CONTROL UP A LITTLE AND KEEP AN EYE ON IT. WHILE HE WAS HERE, I ALSO ASKED HIM TO CHECK THE COLD WATER TEMPERATURE IN MY KITCHEN FAUCET AS IT NEVER GETS REALLY COLD. HE DETERMINED FROM MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE AT THE FAUCET AND AT THE WATER METER THAT WE WERE NOT GOING TO GET WATER ANY COLDER THAN WE'VE GOT RIGHT NOW AS IT COMES INTO THE HOUSE AT A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE. I APPRECIATED MIKE'S HONESTY AND WILLINGNESS TO CHECK ON MY CONCERNS AND ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. BEFORE HE LEFT, HE GAVE ME THE PRICE OF NEW CONTROLS FOR OUR WATER HEATER SHOULD WE NEED THEM IN THE FUTURE.

OUR SEWER LINE BACKED UP INTO THE BASEMENT. CALLED MUETZEL AND THEY CAME OUT WITH A LARGE WATER-JETTING MACHINE. COMPLETELY CLEANED OUT OUR SEWER LINE AND USED FIBER-OPTIC CAMERA TO CHECK. THEY INVOLVED ME IN THE ENTIRE PROCESS AND MADE SURE IT WAS DONE TO MY SATISFACTION. THEY WORKED EXTRA HARD AND WITH GOOD HUMOR ON A NASTY JOB.

IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE, BUT A LITTLE PRICEY. HE DID SAVE ME $80-SOMETHING DOLLARS BY GIVING ME ADVICE ON, AND SHOWING ME HOW TO FIX SOMETHING MYSELF INSTEAD OF HAVING HIM DO IT. I APPRECIATED THAT.

I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE EXPERIENCE. PLUMBER ADVISED THE ISSUE WAS NOT A LEAK BUT A PROBLEM WITH THE FLOORING THAT WAS CAUSING THE ISSUE. ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS CLEARLY AND WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. DEFINITELY A GOOD EXPERIENCE.
