Muetzel Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

We purchased our home knowing that there were some plumbing issues that needed corrected. Muetzel Plumbing has been very responsive and thorough. David is the absolute best! When they come to the house, the truck is stocked. So, they provide an estimate and can correct most problems in the same visit. Very considerate, very professional, very neat and clean. We will be using them for our future plumbing needs.

They showed up on time, did the work they said they were going to do, did it well, cleaned up after themselves, and came in between $400 and $900 lower on price than the three other estimates. This was a major job. I have a 1920s-built house, and the old galvanized water line was corroded and ready to burst, meaning they had to replace the entire line out to the curb. They did it with machinery that bored a hole underground, which meant that they had to dig only two holes, one by the curb and one where the service line entered the basement. This saved them from digging a 60-plus foot trench through the yard and taking out two trees. They did have to tear up a section of sidewalk, but they replaced it as soon as the new line was in and everything was inspected. I give the company high marks all around for a major job and would hire them again. Mike Jones was the lead plumber on the job and did great work.

Shawn was very nice. They did a very good job. The were very courteous. When the shut off valve was leaking on my house, they came out and tightened it for me at no charge. He charged a fair price for the other job.

David arrived on time to give an estimate. The quote was acceptable and he started immediately. Their price was a little higher, but he was very neat and very thorough and very friendly. I plan on having them back when I do laundry room addition.

He was on time, put on slippers to protect our floors, was very courteous. When we told him we were planning to redo our bathroom, he helped us fix the problem for the least amount of $ possible. We needed a new p trap and new aerators, which I purchased later. It was an overall great experience.

They did a good job but they were very expensive for some very basic work.

The overall experience with Muetzel was very good. In fact, they were the highlight of a most frustrating experience with Columbia Gas. The price was fair for all the work that Muetzel did, but a lot of what was done was a waste of time and money to satisfy Columbia Gas. The PUCO has already helped me work out my differences with the utility company. My Angie's List $20 Coupon helped a little, too.

After they left, a small leak developed. They came out promptly to fix it. They also cleaned my drain and gave me a product to keep the water flowing smoothly. They were very courteous and nice.

The person who took my phone call was extremely courteous and scheduled me at a convenient time. The Serviceman (Dave) also was extremely professional and courteous. I thought the price he quoted for installing a disposal was a bit high, but I feel the company will stand by its work, so I'm willing to pay a bit more.

The plumbers were prompt. The office was professional and responsive to my questions and requests. They provided me with written estimates and a formal contract. There were no hidden costs. Only downside is they did not readily offer me alternatives and I had to come up with the alternatives myself which ultimately led to less expense. Instead of tearing out $20,000 worth of landscaping and a sidewalk in my front yard, they agreed with my suggestion to redirect the drains to the freshwater creek behind my house. This was much less expensive, less destructive and less time-consuming. They were drenched in a rain storm and could not complete the cleanup process. Unfortunately, I had to call the office to get them to come back but they did so promptly and cleaned everything up, including the gate which was out of alignment due to digging around it. Good experience overall.

WE CALLED ON TUESDAY AND THE FIRST AVAILABLE TIME WAS THURSDAY. WE TOOK THE THURSDAY, BUT WE WERE TOLD THAT IF THERE WERE ANY CANCELLATIONS, THEY WOULD CALL. THEY DID ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND CAME OUT.

They had to take a lot of pipes out and replace them. He gave me some advice on some things that I could do myself. I felt it was very nice of him. I feel good about my experience with the company.

THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE USED MUETZEL, AND I WAS ONCE AGAIN PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY WERE ON TIME, AND THE YOUNG MAN WAS VERY NICE. AFTER HE ACCESSED THE DAMAGE TO MY DRAIN PIPES, I ASKED HIM COULD HE ALSO LOOK AT THE HANDLES TO MY BATH TUB. THIS WAS NOT ON THE ORIGINAL REQUEST, BUT HE HAD NO PROBLEM ADDING IT TO THE WORK ORDER. MUETZEL IS THE PLUMBER I WILL CALL FOR ANY AND ALL MY PLUMBING NEEDS!

They were timely, did good work, and had fair price. I would use them again.

He told me 29$ for an estimate. But, was then told that they had to come back with a camera so they could see where the drain goes into the basement. They could not give me an estimate, and told me that it would be an $136 dollars just for one.

They were on time and knowledgeable. He did one small repair toilet without charging me. They were very neat and clean with their work.

Work done very professionally. Workers knew just what was needed based on the water pressure in our home. We are totally satisfied. Would call again.

The technician was very knowledgeable and polite, and solved my problem. Later, when I was re-examining the bill, I noticed they he had charged me for travel time . . . though on the website it say no charge for travel time. I called the owner, and he apologized and took the travel charge off of my bill. I was very happy with the service, and how he resolved my bill.

They were on time, polite, professional. I thought they were a bit expensive as the cost did not include the heater.

They were very professional and did quality work. Did a few small extra jobs at no additional cost.

The best part about the service was that the plumber was friendly, courteous, and seemed to be knowledgeable. I was frustrated by the scheduling procedure. I was the ''second'' call. I stayed home all morning waiting. The secretary gave the standard line that there was no way of predicting how long it would take. However, the technician explained that he knew going into the day that approx. 4 hours was allotted for the tasks of the first call and indeed it took 4 hours. Secondly, the set price was way too high for such a quick job. I should have said ''no'' and sent them away. It would have been $20 more without Angie's list coupon. Use my expensive lesson and find another company.

They came within a couple days of calling & arranged to come on Good Friday when I would be off work (so I didn't need to take a vacation day!). He was on-time, worked quickly, was very conscientious of tracking anything up & down stairs or in from outdoors- even put on shoe covers! I really like the efficiency of their workers- I'd recommend them to anyone! I have a house close to 200 years old & they have now replaced all the piping from zinc to copper, replaced my chrome with brass fixtures in the bathroom, & installed this water meter. I've never been unhappy with their work & am especially happy with their employees. A+++++

Service men were on time and courteous. Took care to cover shoes when entering house. Had trouble locating the needed repair part for bathroom faucet, so took a lot of time that resulted in a large charge. Repairing the underground line required two men and some special equipment to locate the collapse. They worked steadily. Considering the special equipment and all that they had to do, I think the price was fair.

They came right out and fixed the problem. We have hired them on multiple occasions.

The only thing I wasn't happy with was they were very high priced.
