Mr. Clean Pressure Washing came to my house in German Village/Schumacher Place to steam clean the vinyl siding on my home on May 1, 2018. It was a horrible experience from start to finish and I would never hire them again or recommend that anyone hire them. They showed no care for my home or pride in their work, and actually damaged my house and cost me even more money in the process. They were very unprofessional and unwilling to do the right thing at every turn, and have ignored my complaints to date. Unfortunately, I actually recognized some value in the cleaning service and had they not broke my siding, knocked down my phone lines, and disrespected me and my house the entire time, including by refusing to do anything to correct the damage they caused, I would have had a better rating on the actual quality of the cleaning. The original quote was $850 to do both the house and detached garage, and do the “best” level steam cleaning. The owner looked at an aerial photo of my home to give me the quote. He said it would take a full day (9:00-5:00). I told him I was looking for something effective but still gentle on my old vinyl siding, which is why he recommended the steam clean and I agreed. What actually happened on May 1 was that the owner showed up early at 8:15 and was trying to get the job done in a hurry, was done by 2:00 pm, talked for about 2-3 hours out of that 5-hour time period “showing” us various things about our house or debating us about our house, while not actually working. He spent the entire day talking about how horrible our house looked, how poorly it had been constructed and painted, and how horrible our neighbors’ houses looked. He actually said that he hates these old houses and asked me if I really thought he could get my house clean, first asserting that no one had ever cleaned this house before, and later claiming that I or someone else cleaned it with bleach. The latter was his argument after he broke 3+ pieces of siding on the second floor and tried to lie about it, claiming that he “found” these broken pieces up there. He also knocked the phone lines down and left them dangling over my back porch and yard. He said they weren’t secured properly in the first place, and that he didn’t bother trying to put it back up because they would just fall out again. He also knocked some other siding and flashing out of place on the second floor (but luckily I was able to climb out my window to fix that by hand). I canceled the garage portion of the cleaning because the owner said he wouldn’t clean up the paint chips (it’s a wood garage), and I realized it would be too messy and not worth it. In response, the owner claimed that the price was still the same because he was originally just throwing the garage in for free –which clearly was not true. He also somehow managed to use $30 worth of water that day, as my consistent water bill skyrocketed after his visit. The final price was over $900 with sales tax. I was a bit stunned with everything that happened, so I just paid. But after I got my next water bill seeing the $30 increase, got a quote on the siding repair ($483), got the dangling phone lines fixed and assessed all of my damages, I emailed the owner with all of my complaints and the cost of siding repair (along with the written estimate) on August 11, 2018. He did not reply. On August 25, 2018, I emailed him again, with the damage pictures and the final invoice for the siding repair and asked him to simply reply and please let me know if he was going to offer a refund or not; I directly asked him whether he was going to do something to make the situation right. On August 29th, he replied: “Due to an over whelming amount of e-mail I have it scheduled to give you a response to your previous email you sent by Wednesday September 5th. Thank you for your patience.” As of October 11, 2018, I have heard nothing. Literally, go to ANYONE but Mr. Clean Pressure Washing. This is not a real business, it's just some power-washing equipment and a branded truck that wholly lacks any semblance of professionalism or customer service.
