Then cleaned and serviced. All for an extremely fair price. I will be recommending Mid Ohio to others in our neighborhood.

We had 2 gas fireplaces installed. One in our lower level is just what we expected and works great. It is a insert type. In our living room we had a typical set installed. It was not what we were told we would be getting. First the pilot hissed so loud you could hear it on the whole first floor. He was not responsive to come fix it. We could not use it the whole first season. We finally got him out and that was taken care of. That season the flame did not go up and down at different levels as we were told it would. Again he did not respond quickly. He eventually came out. Parts and logs should have been under warranty, but he said he could not fix it. I don't know why unless he realized he did not install the correct set of logs. He offered us $150 back or a cheaper set of logs with a constant pilot not the electronic ignition with remote. My point is that we wanted an electronic remote unit. That was why we paid so much in the first place. We have used the crummy unit with remote as directed and now the box that gets the signal from the remote has melted. Total waste of money. Insufficient fixes without a warranty or guarantee for the logs and labor. We went with him because he was listed as certified, but it was odd that hiis assistant knew more about the fireplaces than he did and that he referred our questions to the assistant. The entire process just was not professional.

They were able to come out same day and repair our gas fireplace. Very punctual, courteous, and affordable. Would definitely recommend them!

Bob converted our propane fireplace in a house we purchased to a wood burning unit. It was not easy to find someone to perform this job I guess do to the fact of its rarity. Bob's price was 1/4th the price of the other company I found on Angie's List. My guess is the other vendor thought we were "loaded" and would pay whatever. Job done we are VERY PLEASED!

We had some scheduling conflicts due to our plans for the Memorial holidays but, Mid Ohio Hearth was very accommodating. In about three weeks after we agreed to the proposal, the project was underway. The plumbers had a challenge in relocating the gas regulator and service line. The job required digging a rather deep hole. Once the initial plumbing was completed, the structural work began. The two gentlemen who performed the work (Larry and Bob) were very knowledgeable and professional. They built a solid structure that conforms to the rest of the house. They did great work! The installation of the fireplace seemed a hitch compared to the work preceding it.

Tech dismantled and cleaned the logs. He explained what causes the problem and how in the future it could be avoided. Did not rush and stayed until he was certain problem was corrected. Excellent job as logs have worked great everyday for the past four days. Appreciated when I made the arrangements for the service call. The person fielding the call, asked many questions about my problem as opposed to just setting up a service time. The tech explained things and then went to work. No wasted effort as had the feeling that he really knew what he was doing. Cleaned out parts and re-worked the logs, gave advice as to avoid the problem in the future. He also stayed and made certain the fireplace worked. He had a good attitude.
