They told me that my rear brakes needed replaced. The car had less than 50,000 miles. Every other car that I have owned has gone almost 100,000 miles before needing breaks. Typically the front breaks need replaced first. I questioned this as a potential warranty issue. The service person gave me some weird reason why the rear brakes on this model car typically wear out first. I then took the car to another mechanic. The other mechanic order new brakes and compared them to my brakes prior to replacing them. The second mechanic determined that the brakes did not need replaced. I called Mazda corp and they didn't really care. I only return to Mazda Direct for warranty work or an oil change.
