Excellent repair work on our 30+ year old Grandfather clock we bought in Germany. Moved it across country, weights and chimes needed re- installed and adjusted at a reasonable price. Mike was prompt and professional and our clock is like new. Would definitely call him again for any future service and recommend him highly to all.

Clockmaster worked with clock to get it running again. Did not require parts, mostly lubrication issues. He was very informative not to promise that he could make the clock run again. Advised it might even require a rebuild and advised the cost upfront. Very knowledgeable people.

Although they have a drop off in Hilliard, I opted to drive to the east side to drop it off so that I could talk with someone about the repair. They were very knowledgeable and gave me an accuarate estimate. They replaced all 3 chains so that they would be the same color as the two that were unbroken were tarnished. This was my option, I also chose to have all parts cleaned and regulated which was an extra expense. All parts were fixed and it is working great. They test the fixed clocks in their shop for a week to make sure all is working well. My only complaint is they forgot to call me when it was ready and I had to call them. Other than that they did a great job. I was happy to have some place in town to fix our clock.

Move went perfectly...it could not have been better. Michael Gainey's expertise is obvious when you meet him. He arrived on time, was very effficient and explained each step of the process as he worked. He cleaned and oiled key movement gears and assessed the condition of the clock for us (seriously worn). He estimated the monetary value of the clock and advised us to have the movement replaced rather than repaired when the clock eventually quits running. It is running and keeping accurate time now. The charge seemed very reasonable to us.

Michael arrived promptly at the beginning of the service window. He serviced/adjusted the clock mechanism, noting that nothing of significance was wearing or in need of any major repair. He also provided useful information on best ways to adjust the time on the clock so as to not introduce problems with the clock mechanism.
Very professional and competent service performed in a timely manner at a reasonable cost in my home. Job well done!

"When this customer dropped of the clock he was told that the repair would take 9-10 months to completion. This was a major restoration of an approximate 100 year old clock. He dropped it off on March 10, 2014 and he was called for pick up on January 19, 2015 which means it took us 10 months and 9 days. When we schedule that far out it is extremely difficult to nail our completion dates as the demand on our services fluctuates throughout the year. Currently we are actually several months ahead of schedule. Regarding the cost of the repair we charge a professional fee for a professional service. The type and extent of the repair work we perform is unlike any other repair service in the city. We do not compete against price, (even though we are not the most expensive) we compete with our quality. We were happy to serve our customer and were thrilled to get the chance to restore his clock. I am sorry that he was somewhat disappointed in our turn around time and our price. Of course he knew the cost before he agreed to the repair. Sincerely, Michael Gainey Owner, Master Clock Repair"
