It was a very good experience, with the exception of the long permit approval process that the City of Westerville foists upon its residents. I dealt with the Polaris store. They were very quick to respond to my online request for a consultation and the rep, David, was very accommodating with his scheduling to visit my home. He was knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. He also quickly gave me the benefit of the doubt when there was a miscommunication about what I had requested and what he included in his quote. I found the product I wanted and was given a very fair price. Once Westerville was kind enough to finally approve my installation permit-after much confusion and foot-dragging on their part for nearly three wees, the Electric Connection handled the installation. They were fabulous. At the completion, the Westerville inspector did his best to muck up the works by mindlessly insisting that my 52 year old house be brought up to current electrical code by relocating the entire hookup from the telephone pole to where the line enters my house, which would have created considerable expense regarding stucco repair, etc, and place the line in the middle of my second floor wall-all for a discrepancy of 8" in height above ground level. The Electric Connection went to bat for me on the absurdity of it all, and I believe they were able to obtain a variance. Both Lowe's and Electric Connection get "A" grades.

The subcontractor Lowe's used was Bennett Home Services.  The installer who came out, Brandon, was very polite and it was evident that he knew just what to do.  Unfortunately, my backsplash was up too high and needed to be cut down.   He marked the place for the tile cut and held the microwave up to show me how it should fit.  When the adjustment was made, Bennett sent him back immediately to complete the installation.  I was very pleased with the experience.

Really worked with me to correct poor workmanship on a ramp for my partially handicapped wife by a subcontractor. 
  The subcontractor (HM of C) ,is highly rated by Angies list, however, they tried to slip & slide their way around a dumb old senior citizen.

They did a nice job but it took a little bit longer lead time for the order than I had originally anticipated. We also had some plumbing issues because of which there was a delay in the work.

We purchased about 1400 sq. ft. of flooring from Lowes. We went to our closest store, on Brice Rd. in Columbus, but they did not have a large stock on hand. They checked their computer and found that the Lancaster Lowes had enough on hand for our order. Wanting to get started and hoping to have no supply problems, we drove to Lancaster which was close to our home. They did have a large stock of our chosen flooring, and they loaded our truck with half of what we would need, and we planned to return for more in a few days. Everyone at both stores was helpful, and did exactly what we needed done. This was on Dec. 14th.

Then in a couple of days, I looked online to check and be sure Lancaster Lowes still had a good stock of our flooring to go down and get 42 more boxes. I was shocked to see that the price had gone up by 20%! We went on down since we still needed the flooring. We asked about the price increase. The clerk asked if we had our receipt from the previous purchase, and she said she would see if someone could help us with a price adjustment. She brought back a gentleman who adjusted the price to the previous price for us! What a savings!
We have purchased from Lowes for many years, even for our appliances at our former home. We have always had a pleasant experience with their employees. They are polite and know their products.

Their prices are very reasonable and they had a large selection of colors and types of carpet to choose from. The answered any questions we had and were nice to have around.

Installers (2) took four days instead of the predicted two to three days. Workmanship was only fair. They made several bad cuts which had to be redone or covered up. It was necessary to have the installer return twice after the initial four days to finish the job and to correct errors. They ordered too much material and I had to return the unused material myself to the store for a refund I had to pay for the work in full before they delivered the material or started the work.
