Lannis Fence

I am extremely disappointed with my decision to use Lannis Fence. Kyle seemed great and knowledgeable during the sale. I was told 8-10 weeks on the schedule, we left our nearly $5,000 deposit, then it went downhill. For starters I reached out in mid July for pictures from Kyle to get my HOA approval. I waited over a week for a response and heard nothing back and had to follow up. Then waited 2 days for an email with 1 picture. I waited 8 weeks before reaching out to see where I was at on the schedule (early August). At that point I had heard nothing from anyone at Lannis. I texted Kyle on August 5th, 6th, and 10th before finally getting a response that he would have his project manager call me the next morning (August 11th). The next afternoon came and I had heard nothing so I sent a reminder text to Kyle to have Tom call me. I got no response. So on August 12th I called their main office and asked for Tom. He told me it'd be at least mid September before they'd start, at the earliest. He didn't seem to care at all that they were exceeding the timeline by over 5 weeks. I decided to call back and see what the penalty would be to cancel my contract. Brent (Kyle's brother) called me back and convinced my to keep my contract and got me in the schedule for August 23rd. A few days before the install I got a call from Tom letting me know utilities would be marked out and that the install crew would be out before 10am on Monday, August 23rd. Since Lannis doesn't meet with their own install subcontractors to walk them through the scope, I had to take off work in the morning to meet with them. I waited until after 10:30am on the 23rd and heard nothing. Called the office and was told the crew was at the shop picking up the materials and would be out within a half hour. They didn't show up until 12:30. I walked them through everything, they unloaded some materials and said they would be back to get the corner posts set. They never came back or communicated that they wouldn't be coming back. So fast forward, after taking 3-4 days longer than I was told to install, the fence was finally up and good for the most part. 4 of the posts were installed in the wrong location. The crew moved upon my request (I had showed them where they go twice, and Kyles drawing specified very clearly). They cut the posts with a chainsaw 4-5 inches above ground level and covered in dirt to try to hide it. They also installed the incorrect hinges and broke my hose holder that was mounted on my house. Then I waited over 4 weeks (September 26th) before I reached out and demanded the posts that were installed in the wrong spot be dug up (see photos), and also tried to find out what the rest of the process was. Kyle responded this time, and apologized and said he would have Tom call me in the morning. On the night of the 27th I let Kyle know I had never heard from Tom. Then again on the 28th. Instead of calling me, Tom deflected to their subcontractors to call me. Great manager. A couple no shows later and the correct hinges finally got installed. Now my gate posts look like swiss cheese and they rub quite a bit. Once things were finally done I reached out to Kyle to see if he could bring the final invoice down a bit for all of the communication and execution issues. He thought I deserved something back as well and would talk to his brother Brent to discuss an amount and get back to me on Monday. This was September 30th. Fast forward to October 18th and I had heard NOTHING yet. I texted Kyle on October 18th, no response. I texted Kyle on October 20th, no response. I texted Kyle on October 22nd at 8:30am, nothing. Then in the afternoon before getting a response that he was in quarantine for COVID. Because a 10 day quarantine justifies no responding for over 3 weeks... He told me he'd have Brent call me. Nobody ever called. Now on Thursday November 11th I received an email that my invoice is past due. I text Kyle immediately and surprise, no response. It's now 11/14 and I'm still waiting for an answer.

I used Lannis Fence once on my first house, about 15 or more years ago. If you go by that property, the fence is still up. I hired them this spring to put a privacy fence on a very long side of my one-acre property. They also did a small 4' section with gate. Their work was INCREDIBLE. Best contractor experience I've had in years. They showed up promptly and helped me move some landscaping out of the way. They were incredibly meticulous on the height of the boards and contouring them to fit around a tree and on uneven ground. They cleaned up perfectly and were really nice to have around with no gross worker complaints (if you know what I mean). AAAA+++ rating. If all their installs go this smooth -- wow. Can't say enough. PS. I think the installer was the grandson of the guy that put in my fence over a decade ago. How cool.

Just wanted Lannis Fence Company to know how extremely satisfied my wife and I are dealing with Larry Stone the sales Rep. he was so extremely friendly, polite, and professional the 1st Time we spoke on the phone, the 1st Time he came our home ... again I was very impressed with Larry. He is the main reason we chose Lannis Fence to remove our old fence and install a new fence. Even though the project has not began yet , I feel extremely confident that all will go well. I understand that this job is probably the largest residential fence projects Lannis has done. Again I have the upmost confidence that it’ll go well. Larry should get a Raise. Professional and responsive from every team member we interacted with. Very good communication and we are pleased with our fence!

Everything went smoothly and the workmanship was great. There were no gaps between the boards and the top was level all the way across. Sales staff and workers polite and professional. I will call them again if I need anything done.

The fence installation was fantastic! We were very pleased with the process and the new fence looks amazing!

They Did a great job putting in my fence and the later maintenance it sometimes needs..

Our yard was challenging to say the least. It’s completely uneven and up against a steep hill. I communicated with with the service rep Larry stone and installer Nick Ritchie. Both Nick and Larry were punctual. I knew I could count on them to be there when they said they would. Nick did an amazing job with the fence. He checked with me throughout the process and made sure I got what I wanted. I would definitely recommend this company!

Was very pleased. Communication was good with staff. Workers were diligent and professional when installing. We love everything about our new fence! It is beautiful.

Everyone was very professional. Once we made it to the top of the wait-list. All went quickly and smoothly.

Fence was installed as per landscape design, work was done,with no problems , my issues came with the railing installation. First contact with Andy Williams said would be no problem, then thru contact in feb ( we were out of state) he was to come over first of March to inatall the railing, no show and no call. I contacted him again , he came over we discussed what was needed , he was to let us know regarding same. Not heard from him since. If did not want the business would have appreciated knowing it. Feel it is utterly unprofessional and also unseemly as husband is disabled and I have obvious concerns regarding falls, if Lannis didn't want to install I could have gone elsewhere instead of losing 3 month time.

The installation went as planned and they finished on time.

We are very pleased with our fence. This is the second time we have had them install fencing. We liked it so much we had them come back and fence in more of our property.
They were very professional both times. The salesman was promt and helpful. The installers did an excellent job. They removed some old chain link fencing and had our new fence up quickly. Great crew! They cleaned up and made sure we were happy before they left! Highly recommend.

I called Andy Williams (sales manager) and told him we needed a new fence. He came out to our house within a few days, gave us an estimate, and a week later it was done.

My experience in getting information about fence options, executing the contract and preparing for the installation were good. The crew that installed my fence were not as professional as I would have expected -- left uneaten food in my side yard, left clumps of dirt throughout my yard that I had to pick up the next day, and did not check in with me when the job was finished to give me the fence keys and ask if I had any questions. Granted, it was raining lightly when the crew finished the fence, but I am accustomed to workmen ringing my doorbell and talking with me when they have completed the job. When I shared my concerns with Lannis office staff,  they were extremely apologetic and the sales manager and others offered to speak with me. They reduced my final bill as a gesture of recognition that the behavior of the crew was not up to their standards. I was pleased with the follow-up and would not hesitate to recommend Lannis to my friends. The fence looks great and I'm very happy with it.

The installers were professional, timely and did a very good job.  Pricing was reasonable and fair.

They installed the fence and it looks great. We had a nail pop a year later which made one of the pickets come loose. They came out and inspected the entire fence and replaced every picket that had cracked over the winter and left us spare pickets.

I was very satisfied with their expertise and the completeness of the work.  I would recommend them to others and would definitely use them again in the future.

Called mid December to get a quote.  Larry was out the next day and provided the quote.  Fence was installed third week of January.  Called the week before the installation to confirm date.  The installation team was great.  Showed up when they told us they would.  Told us exactly what was going to happen on each day they were there.   Project went exactly as described.  We are very pleased with the result.

Great company to work with, and professional sales and installation.

Everything went great with this company from the initial estimate to the final installation.  Out of 4 estimates, they were right in the middle, but used higher quality materials than any of the other companies (3/4" pickets, cedar stringers, 4"x6" posts on the gates, heavier duty hardware on the gates).  The installation was spread out over 2 days, first day they installed the posts (3 feet down, dry concrete + water in the holes, the entire line was straight as an arrow).  A few days later they came back and put up the stringers/pickets in about 4 hours.   They did a good job on cleanup.
The fence is absolutely beautiful, we've had multiple people stop (on a busy road) and compliment us on it.  
Would absolutely recommend this company without hesitation, and they will get all of my fence business in the future!
