I would give La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries an F. They told us we would have financing where the first year there would no interest or payments and the second year would be no interest, but you would make payments. At the end of the first year they told us our financing deal was up and that if we didn't pay it off  that year than they would start back dating all the interest. Luckily for us we had already had planned on paying it off early so it wasn't a big hardship, but the guy who was writing it up was saying look at how well I am marking this for  and you are getting this great financing offer. He ended up keeping the paperwork showing how well marked up it was and then he left the company, so they didn't have to honor it. It was just a whole series of stuff, one thing after another. The first couch they delivered the whole frame was broken and they wanted us to keep that couch until they got the new one. Then when they got the new one the frame wasn't broken, but was badly scratched. They were trying to tell us we had to keep the one with the broken frame and not just the one with the scratches, because if we were to keep the one that was just scratched than we were accepting delivery and that everything is okay now. If that makes any sense. Instead of letting us keep the one that at least didn't have a broken frame until they got it right they wanted us to keep the one with a broken frame that wasn't usable at all. We then had to wait for the new one to come. It was really bad. I kept calling up and complaining and they were arguing with me on the phone. I kept telling them I could show then what it looks like and that I wasn't lying. It was really bad. I would never got to La-Z-Boy again. The price was good, but they didn't honor what they said they would do. The couch itself was a good quality if they didn't damage it while delivering it.

The repairmen were great.  I was disappointed when during scheduling, I found out the lifetime warranty was only good for a year and then I had the pay for the service and labor fees.  All the repairman had to do was bend a bar back into position and I paid $106.  The parts are covered.  If the service call takes longer that 20 minutes then there are more charges.  Read your warranty carefully before you buy.  I would get these couches again, but I feel the salesman misled us a little.

Awful experience. I neglected to properly read the "full" warranty coverage for stains was limited to stains from: Any food or beverage normally consumed by humans; Mold or mildew stains caused by food or beverage normally consumed by humans; and Human or pet bodily fluids. When my wife and I called about coverage after we discovered several spots on the chair this week we found out we were out of luck because we did not know the source of the stain. According to the warranty provider and the store we were out of luck and the store manager just kept repeating "It's in the warranty". When we asked the warranty company what we could do to clean it he said he would sent out come cleaner to us but not to use anything else or it would void the warranty!! What a laugh!! Our salesperson, of course, never mentioned the narrow coverage for the warranty. All we wanted was to be able to get our chair clean. As an attorney, I am somewhat embarrassed over failing to read the limitations to the warranty. As a customer, I would never recommend LAZY BOY. The warranty is a scam and the salespeople will not mention its limitations to you when they are pitching it.

The sales personnel was a very nice place to go shopping. They would bend over backwards to help you. Once the product is delivered and arranged in the room, we noticed that the couch back was sloping downward. We called and someone from the service dept. came out. He was nice and helpful. He took pictures on his cell phone and took them back in for review. It From that point forward where they said they wouldn't do anything b/c it's within their tolerance. But they didn't seem to care it wasn't within my tolerance.

"We have replaced seats on this modular group. Now she wants the backs altered. We cannot alter the mfg. designs without it voiding their warranty. We do not customize. We have pictures; there is nothing wrong with the backs. Paulette McConnell-Customer Service Manager"

We went to the store and the salesman showed us what they had. He also told us about the different couches and the difference in them. The service was excellent and they even carried the old couch away for us.

They had to come out twice, and replace the couch and part. The overall consistency in quality is bad. The couch was not made well, I am afraid to get another one as it will most likely have issues.

At the store Pat, the sales person, and I measured and I was assured that the sofa would fit. Upon delivery the furniture would not fit. The basement is a standard basement but however the delivery folks tried they could not get the sofa to fit down the stairs to the basement. I had five minutes to decide if I wanted to keep the sofa or send it back. I was assured that they would come back to get if I changed my mind. To make room for the HUGE sofa they took the furniture from my den and STACKED it in my kitchen. The new sofa took up the entire room. I was in total shock over the mess that the delivery guys had made. My kids couldn't even get to the fridge to get a drink!! 15 minutes after they left I realized that there was no way that we could make this work. I called Norm, the delivery supervisor and asked for them to come back out to get it. He said that he could not do that until Sunday (this was Wednesday). I explained to him the mess and that I couldn't wait until Sunday and also I was having a party on Sunday and there was no way. He was very unsympathetic and basically told me it was all my fault for not measuring correctly. He was condescending, unkind and borderline rude. He said that other customers were waiting for their deliveries and basically tough luck until Sunday (he called back and said maybe they could Saturday - this all happened on Wednesday). So that would be 4 days of furniture in my kitchen without being able to get to the fridge. I basically begged him and was crying on the phone and he gave me no options. I finally called movers (Two Men and a Truck) and they came out on the same day. Loaded the huge sofa in the truck and put my furniture back in the den. It cost me $160 but saved my sanity. The only bright spot was that they refunded the sofa quickly. This was truly the WORST experience I've ever had with any furniture purchase. I will never go back. I accept my culpability in the situation because I should have done a better job measuring. What I can't accept is: 1) the sales person craving a sale so badly that they mislead us that it would fit 'no problem.' 2) The method used by the delivery guys...just stacking furniture in the kitchen with no care on how I would cope once they left. 3) The way I was treated on the phone by Norm the delivery supervisor. His unkindness and lack of caring for my situation is the main reason the I will never shop there again and I will be sure to discourage anyone I know from shopping there.

I got a great deal on these! They were marked down, and the final price was $1,020.00, including delivery. The saleswoman was very helpful, her name was Lorraine Schmidt. All their furniture is high quality and you never know what great deal you'll find in their markdown area!

I have had furniture now for 4 mos., and it seems to be wearing well. I'm certain it helps to purchase off the showroom floor and have a truck to take home the same day. There were no problems.

THE DAY THAT WE PURCHASED THE CHAIRS WE WERE TOLD THEY WOULD BE IN FOR PICK-UP BY THE END OF THE WEEK (3 DAYS). BEWARE, EVEN THOUGH THE SALES REP. STATED THAT, THE STORE MGR. SAID, ''THERE IS NO WAY SHE WOULD KNOW THAT''. SHE ALSO SAID SHE WOULD CALL WHEN THEY WERE IN. I WAITED 3 WEEKS AND HADN'T HEARD A WORD. I CALLED AND TALKED TO THE MGR. AS MY SALES REP. WAS NOT IN. HE TOLD ME THEY WOULD BE IN AT THE END OF THE WEEK. I ASKED THAT HE CALL TO CONFIRM THAT AND HE SAID THEY WILL BE IN. I ASKED IF HE WOULD CALL WHEN THE CHAIRS ARRIVED AND HE SAID THAT HE WOULD BE OFF THAT DAY AND SO WOULD MY SALES PERSON. I WOULD HAVE TO CALL. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. I ASKED AGAIN IF HE WOULD PLEASE CHECK TO INSURE THEY WOULD BE IN FOR PICK-UP SINCE WE WERE PICKING THEM UP. HE FINALLY, RELUCTANTLY, SAID YES HE WOULD CALL AND WOULD CALL ME BACK. HE NEVER CALLED. LA-Z-BOY POLARIS HAS LOST A CUSTOMER. WHAT POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I AM HAPPY WITH MY CHAIRS.
