Easy, called KAP set up an appointment for a quote, Keith arrived on time as schedule, review the scope of the work, sat down and in minutes had a quote for me - Quote was reasonable money and timing. (I had two other quotes that were outrageously higher) Keith have his clients in his mind and he doesn’t try to rip you off (even when the client have No Clue if what needs to be done !) The job is finished according to plan Inspections of his work passed with flying colors I will use KAP Electric (Keith) on my future project and obviously recommend his company to anyone who wants a Good, Clean, Cost effective and professional electrical work

Ladies and gentleman, please keep in mind I am a working professional. I am a respectful person generally. I have never in my life wrote a bad review about anyone. Do it hire this guy!!! My story.....Where do I begin? I hired Keith to install landscape lights at my home. He came on time to give me a quote and was very professional. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism stopped. He said he would be contacting me in the next week to set up an appointment. 2.5 weeks later I called him to see when he planned on coming. He said he had tried to call me and left a message, but he did not call and I didn't have a message on my cell phone. He said it would be one more month before he could come out to do the work. He asked me to go pick out lights that I liked at a home improvement store, which I did. I was not happy about it being another month before he could do the work because I had mulching to do in my flower beds, and had to get the lights done first. However, I overlooked it and one month later he came to do the work. He installed the lights, turned them on and asked me to look at them to see if I liked them. I told him they looked ok but that it was daylight so it was hard to tell. My main concern was that I wanted the lights BRIGHT. He showed me a picture on his phone of previous work that he had done and said I had more lights than that house so my house should be very bright. That night when the lights came on they were very dim. They also blew the circuit to my sump pump. I contacted Keith and he said the simp pump had nothing to do with the the lights, however the sump pump blew at the exact same time as the lights. I will try to make the long story short, but please understand this has been going on since June 18th. I also asked Keith to drive by my house to see what he thought about the lights and call me. Well, he never called. I called him and he said yes he drove by my house and the lights looked dim but I (the homeowner) picked out the lights and did not get a high enough wattage. I explained to him that I had no idea about wattage and that I hired him to install the lights because I was in need of a professional. When I asked how much he would charge me to fix it his exact words were "it would be exactly what it was before, $24/light. So he admitted he did not give me what I asked for but was not willing to work with me. Keith ended up coming two weeks after this to try to fix the issue with the sump pump circuit blowing when the lights came on. He said he replaced something on the electrical box that seemed loose. That night, when the lights came on the lights blew the breaker again. I talked to another electrician who said to unplug the light and plug them into another outlet because Keith was of no help to me after several texts. He kept saying the two issues were separate. The other electrician said to plug the lights into another outlet and if they don't blow the breaker then he doesn't have enough amp on the circuit the lights are plugged into. Low and behold, when I plugged them into another outlet the lights stopped blowing the circuit. In the meantime the circuit to my air conditioner started blowing. I asked Keith about it and of course he said that this was a separate issue. When the lights came ok night, the air conditioner circuit would Blow, and then not come back on after the circuit was reset. It got up to 85 degrees in my house for 3 days. I had to end up telling him I was taking him to court in order for him to be willing to come back and fix the electrical issue that he caused and to come up with a resolution for how dim my landscape lights were. He said he would be at my house in 1 week. I purchased 4 more lights which he installed for free (again after telling him i was taking him to court). He also installed a larger circuit on the breaker for the lights. The lights were ok for 2-3 days and now they are blowing my lamp post right outside my door. The lamp post blows exactly when my lights come on. I contacted Keith and guess what? His response was "That's a separate issue". Please understand my house is 1 year old and we didn't have any electrical issues before he installed the lights. Please think twice before hiring him unless you want a headache from the beginning. Copies of text messages attached. Again, I have been dealing with this for 2 months with my sump pump breaker blowing when we had flooding in my area EXACTLY at the time the lights came on every single time! Not a coincidence! Then I had to get an electrical issue with my air conditioner fixed and now my lamp post doesn't work. Again, it blows exactly when the lights come on. I have contacted another electrican who is able to come to my house the next day to try and fix this issue, not 1 week. Who tells their customers they will be there in 1 week when they have an electrical issue that you caused. Welll ladies and gentleman, the answer is Keith with KAP electric. Also, separate issue, but he charged me $100 to try to fish a wire through my ceiling in order to hang a light above my island. He wasn't able to run the wire or cut the hole or hang the light because of the way my house is built. The price I was quoted to fish the wire, cut the hole and hang the light was $100...so why was I charged $100 to try to fish a wire through my ceiling? He literally spent 10 mins on it. Again, I have never had a worse experience with a contractor in my entire life, and I have built 2 houses and had 1 remodeled. Think again before hiring him!

KAP came over and looked at our requests. We received an estimate and we we're told that the fuse box was not up to code and we could keep the old fuse box but it would need replaced if we were to ever sell our house. We choose to add a New box along with the other repairs. We were given suggestions and options. This was extremely appreciated as I wasn't even aware of the different options available. The work was done quickly and efficiently! The technician was informative and respectful before, during and after the service. I LOVE the work that was done. We now have several outlets with USB ports, my island has plenty of outlets, my request for separate circuit breakers was applied and my stovetop & ovens are also on separate breakers. Best of all, I am VERY excited & confident that I'll prepare, cook, bake and enjoy stress free Holiday Meals with no tripped circuit breakers! We WILL be contacting KAP for any and all of our future electrical repair needs.
