Kane & Co

Bryon worked quickly and professionally on skim coating the kitchen walls in preparation for painting to be done.  He also patched/finished two spots in the kitchen ceiling where there had been previous damage done and he painted the ceiling.  Excellent job all around and I am currently having him skim coat the walls in my half bath as they are in the same condition.

Kane & company gave us an estimate for painting the exterior of our home, and fit us in at the very last week that exterior painting could be done in 2013 - sometime in October. This was a real relief because we'd put it off longer than we should have. The southern and western exposures on the house looked terrible. They showed up when they were supposed to (we never actually saw them), and they cleaned up perfectly after they left. Literally no mess, no paint chips at the edges of the house (OK, maybe a few). He was super patient with our dithering about paint colors - whether we were going to change the colors or not -- and just made clear when decisions needed to be made in order for the work to get done in time. The trim was beautiful - complete and neat - and the exterior of the house looked great. Other painters had left bits of painter's tape and things, or splatters on our gardens backing up to the house, but Kane & Co left none of that. They were clear up front which parts of the garden beds might be affected by placement of ladders and things, but it was fine. Because it was so late in the year, they explained that while they would paint the front and back porch steps and other more exposed / heavier use areas, they would probably have to come back the next year and re-do it. The upcoming weather was just more likely to make the paint peel and so on. Sure enough, one of the first weeks in June of 2014 (a little less than a year later), without our reminding them, they showed up one day and re-painted those areas, leaving the leftover paint in a single can and a thank-you note as the only indicators they had been there and done their work. No mess.

Bryon remodeled the nursery. It is perfect! He helped me choose colors, added a chair rail, fixed drywall, and added electrical outlets. My new baby "loves" his new room. I can't be more satisfied with the work performed at my house. He was professional, friendly, honest, and hardworking. I will most definitely work with Kane &
Company again!
