The experience with Joe Buchanan's Carpet went from bad to worse in only a few months after the installation. First, the carpet he sold us never stopped "fuzzing" and coming up in clumps in our sweeper. When we questioned him, Joe said that the fuzzing would stop after 3 to 6 months. 2 years later, our sweeper still gets full of fuzz after sweeping 2 to 3 rooms. Second, the carpet crushed and looked terrible within the first year. We placed multiple calls to Joe to voice our concerns and after calling for several months he came by to pick up a sample to "send to the mill". Joe never came in to see what the installed product looked like, but admitted that he stopped showing& selling this make of carpet because of other complaints he received. At this point, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Third, after no action from "the mill", we urged him to look at the carpet. Again he never came in to see it but sent his wholesaler, Home Carpet Distributors (Columbus). The distributor admitted the carpet was crushing prematurely. He then sent an "independent"carpet inspector (hired and paid by the distributor) to assess our carpet. We were told the carpet met the specification, but because WE did not vacuum 4 times per week, WE were at fault for lack of proper maintenance. Be careful of "low-priced" contractors. You might get what you pay for - or in Joe Buchanan's case, less.
