Antique & personal property appraisal and estate sale services. 5 full-time, 11 part-time employees. We do use subcontractors for consultations. Personal property appraisals for insurance, estate, trust, planning, probate, divorce, claims, equitable distribution and charitable donations. Appraisals include an on-site examination, inventory, photography, market research, valuation and the appraisal report. Each item (or group of items) will have a description, age, measurements, condition, value and digital photograph. Appraisals are compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and are available by printed copy, CD or electronic transmission. Over 17 years in the antiques and furniture business. Certified member of the International Society of Appraisers. Meets qualified appraiser requirements of the IRS. Initial meeting is free. Charged hourly for on-site inspection, research and documentation time. Signed contract and deposit required at the time of inspection. For estate sales, a specialist in estate settlement and and transition management assits. We can help with the passing away of a loved one and the need to empty a house of all its contents, downsizing from a large home to a smaller residence, moving out of town or out of state and not taking much to the new home, the desire to turn a collection into cash. Jeff stole all our possessions. We have a signed contract from him, email from his staff saying what we were owed from some of the sales, and have never seen a dime. He is unreachable and won't return calls. We were really burned on this one. There was an article about him in the Columbus Dispatch noting that he has done this to multiple other people in the last year and is being sued. He had previously done a sale for my in-laws and did a good job, so we hired him based on their experience. I think the information on here is outdated and you are essentially giving an A rating to someone who is stealing from his clients.

This was a large undertaking. It was handled very professionally. They were especially adept at selling fine art. We were not only pleased with the sale, but also with cleaning out the house completely. Their accounting is detailed and marketing good. I don't think anyone could have done a better job. Highly recommended.

They could not provide the full scope of services. They wanted to deal with antiques like high value items. They were very nice, very professional, very knowledgeable. If they would have done that I would have been happy to hire them.

They took pictures of everything that was damaged, researched how much each item was currently worth then put it in portfolio, which was both on a CD and on paper. It was so well done that when I took the moving company to court that the judge easily awarded the asked for compensation. They were extremely professional!

It was excellent. He was just very prompt on getting back to me. He gave me tips on how to sell the antique piece that I was asking about. He didn’t charge me for the appraisal.

They provided pictures and details of each item in a very professional manner. The actual appraisal took 2 experts about seven hours in the home with an additional eight hours of research to complete. We very pleased with all aspects of this appraisal and would always use this company in the future and highly recommend them to others.

Caring and considerate, Jeff and his staff made what appeared to be an impossible task a reality. My father was a true ?renaissance
man,? amassing years of hobbies and valuables. I was overwhelmed. Jeff spent an afternoon evaluating the contents of the house, pointing out details that I missed, describing the process of the multi-day sale, and answering my endless questions.
Many of my father?s friends made it point to call/email me to report the high-level of professionalism during the sale. They were
impressed with Jeff?s true interest in my father?s hobbies and artifacts (some spent considerable time talking with Jeff and his staff).
After the multi-day sale concluded, I returned to a clean house. Every floor was swept, every counter was dusted, and every mirror cleaned. Anyone entering the house after the sale would have no idea a multi-day estate sale took place on the property.

I contacted Jeff after reading reviews from Angie's list. I wanted to finally deal with a large amount of items from past generations and I had no idea how to begin. Jeff and I walked around our house for 2 hours and he was able to tell me what might have value, what didn't have much value and gave suggestions on how to begin to sort through everything. He wrote down several places to contact if I wanted to sell the items. I really appreciated his suggestions and knowledge.

Everything was excellent. They did a very thorough job selling everything in the home that we left and did not want to store. They were very professional and listed every item that they sold. When the sale was done they were sure to remove anything that was left over.

Over a period of four days items were sold and the house was cleared out so that it could be placed on the market.
Jeff seems to be quite knowledgeable and able to price most items fairly and such that they will sell. His staff is courteous and available to answer questions as well as protect the interests of the homeowner. This is one of the most professional sales I have ever attended. Would definitely use Jeff if the need arises.

I was quite intimidated and overwhelmed at the prospect of cleaning out the family home during such a difficult time. I contacted Jeff; he had been recommended by the attorney. He was professional, friendly and enthusiastic from the first time we met. He was on time, easy to get in touch with, responsive, tireless, enthusiastic, and let me ramble. His team was also professional and knowledgeable. It is easy to tell that he loves what he does. He was respectful of the items in the home and interested in the person who had owned them. I felt very comfortable with him. He worked quickly and efficiently under my time constraints. Jeff made the process comfortable, manageable and was completely professional.

I think Jeff is fantastic and I would certainly recommend him to my friends for this service. He really knows "his stuff" and his report was very thorough and complete. I was anxious to have him come over as I was concerned that our things were worthy of an appraisal but he made me feel very relaxed and assured me that our pieces were nice and should be valued by us. While we do not wish to sell any of these items it is important to have the appraisal in case of a loss. I will look forward to working with Jeff in the future and hope to attend some of the Estate Sales he has scheduled in July. Since he knows my home I am expecting him to give me good advice as to whether a piece I might be interested in will look good in our home. Kudos to Jeff -- he is a find and certainly deserving of Angie's A+ rating.

Jeff was excellent to work with - we were on a tight timeframe and he was willing/able to come out same day and have our appraisal complete the following day. His research was excellent, he estimated 2 hours of work and kept to that. We got a nice written appraisal with comps & pics and a disc in case we lose the hard copy. He was very nice and conscientious. Would recommend him highly!

After the initial meeting with Jeff Baker, I felt that I had put the daunting task of the disposal of my mother's furnishings and possessions into extremely capable hands. From start to finish, Jeff handled the estate sale in a professional manner, with a side of humor thrown in. Jeff's fee was 25% of sales which, considering the work involved, was a bargain, and final payment for the goods was promptly received. I highly recommend him.
