Katherine was very knowledgeable and offered great suggestions and ideas. No high pressure sales pitch. The quote was detailed and offered options. The price was very reasonable for the doors that we selected. Each time an appointment was scheduled, whether it was the company representative to measure our doors or the installer, they were always on time, friendly and made the experience actually enjoyable. I would highly recommend this company if you need security or any type of doors. Ours look great, feel very secure and we have received a number of compliments already.

We very much appreciated Iron Gate! Our home was broken into and we needed to replace our exterior door and storm door. Under normal circumstances, we would not have been able to get our doors from the manufacturere and installed before January. Katherine understood our predicament and contacted the manufacturer to make a special request. The installers also were able to work us into their very busy schedule, just before the holidays, so our doors coudl be installed as soon as possible. The products are great, the installers did a great job and were very polite.
Under our circumstances we did not do a lot of shopping around to review prices, so we cannot comment. The doors feel worth the cost. They are nice quality, look great, and will do the job.

The whole process took three days, but the final products were amazing. The worker was professional, courteous. the workmanship was top rated. Those storm doors look so elegant, they really dress up the whole house. They also add good insulation against the weather. But, the most important of all, those cast iron bars really provide strong security against intruders.

Everything went perfect! They were on time, they allow you to do layaway's and do not charge a separate fee for install or measurements. They were very professional. The doors are also made in the United States. I give them an overall A and plan on getting another door.

After months of trying to find the right company I called Iron Gate and Dave came to our home to help me determine how to better secure our basement windows. He listened to my concerns and put forth an option that would secure the windows at a cost significantly lower than any other company I had come out. The turn around time was quick and installation took under 2 hours. I really appreciated that they weren't trying to sell me more than I needed and seemed truly interested in finding the right solution to my individual problem. Overall, I highly recommend Iron Gate!

We found water damage on our wall---we called Home Depot which Referred us to Wingler and Sons---they were upfront with all information about what they were going to do next--no secrets. The bathrooms both needed to be done due to being older, seals on toliets broken, water. etc.
They were knowledgeable, honest, and cleaned up any mess,,

The gentleman that came and gave me the estimate was very knowlegable about the product. He did not try to "up-sale" me, but offered me a good door in my budget. The contractor that installed the door was on time and completed the work in a timely manner. He took the time to after the work was done to explain some of the features of the door. His workmanship was very good.

They're not supposed to rust, but they have. I've had the doors for five years, but I haven't contacted them yet about the issue. I don't know if this is something that they take care of or not, but hopefully I'll find out when I contact them.

We did have one miscommunication about scheduling, but I take half the responsibility. Once it was resolved they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They were polite and respectful to both my mother and I. We were very happy with them and the doors are very high quality.

I used this company a few years ago to install security doors (front and back) on my house. I was impressed with the quality, and so I called them again after I had a couple of break-ins in my detached garage. The person I spoke with quoted me a price on a security door, and then called me back a day or so later to offer me a less expensive option. I had already decided to go with the original door, but it was nice (and unusual) for a company to go out of its way to try and save me $300.00. Very satisfied with door and level of service.

The door was installed with uneven rubber seals and a new section had to be ordered and installed. When paying for the last half of bill, the man at company did not know who to work machine and charged me twice and then had to find out how to correct it. A few days after the door was installed, clips that hold the glass in place broke, and I was told by the company that I would have to come to the store to get replacements and paint them to match the door since they only carried black, not the color of my door which was bronze. A month after the door was installed, the key broke in the lock, and they refused to fix this without a charge. Members should know that this company only guarantees their doors, not the locks. They were not too great for a security door company.

"THE MEMBER PURCHASED A SECURITY DOOR ON 9-6-05, WHICH WAS A ODD SIZE DOOR, COST $746. IT WAS INSTALLED 10-19-05. FACTORY SENT CENTER GLASS WITH A DEFECTIVE SEAL AND NEW ONE WAS ORDERED AND INSTALLED. OCCASIONALLY, GLASS CLIPS CAN GET STRESS CRACKS DURING SHIPMENT; NEW CLIPS WERE GIVEN, PLUS A FEW EXTRA. THE GENTLEMAN WAS NEW AND MADE A MISTAKE ON THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE, AND IT WAS CORRECTED. ON 11-14-05, OUR COMPANY DID SERVICE ON TWO OTHER DOORS, COST $50. WHILE OUR INSTALLER WAS THERE SHE WANTED A NEW LOCK FOR ONE OF THE DOORS. SO, WE ONLY CHARGED HER FOR THE LOCK, NOT INSTALLATION. COST FOR LOCK ONLY $65.00. TOTAL SPENT WITH US $115.00. ON 6-9-2006, THE MEMBER CALLED, KEY BROKE OFF INSIDE LOCK. SHE WAS TOLD SERVICE CALL PLUS PART. SHE WAS VERY UPSET WITH THIS. SHE CALLED, OUR AGGREMENT WAS WE WILL WAIVE THE SERVICE CALL IF THEY PAID FOR THE $28.00 PART. I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A WIN/WIN SITUATION TO MAKE THEM HAPPY. ON MON.6-12-06 OUR INSTALLER PUT IN A NEW CYCLINDER AND DIDN'T NEED TO MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO THE DOOR; THE LOCK WORKED FINE. PAYMENT WAS COLLECTED, SHE TOLD OUR INSTALLER SHE WOULD MAKE A COMPLAINT TO ANGIE'S LIST. OUR QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP AND REPUTATION IS IMPORTANT TO US. THE CONTRACT THEY SIGNED DOES STATE LABOR COVERED FOR 30 DAYS. ABUSE AND NEGLECT SHALL NOT APPLY. THEIR DOOR WAS INSTALLED ON 10-19-05; WE WERE CALLED ON 6-9-06 WITH THIS PROBLEM. I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE CAN FAULT US FOR HER OWN KEY BREAKING OFF IN HER DOOR EIGHT MONTHS LATER."

They lady who answered the phone (Katharine) was very friendly, explained a lot (because I had no knowledge of this kind of ). The service provider showed up on time, and was nice, also persistent about putting the door on in a timely fashion. Did a thorough job and even swept up the debris when he was finished.

THEY ARRIVED ON TIME. I HAD 3 OTHER PLACES COME AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE, BUT IRON GATE GAVE ME THE BEST PRICE. THE SELECTION OF DOORS WAS JUST THE SAME AS THE HIGHER PRICED COMPANIES. THE WORKMAN WAS VERY NICE AND HIS WORKMANSHIP WAS GOOD. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT.
