Humana Medicare Advantage

Their pricing is good, but there are so many drugs that they just don't cover. I had to switch from a name brand to a generic on one that I had been on for 25 years. My husband had to switch three of his. One of his they would cover nothing on. They do it in tiers. They are usually very good. We have to re-up every year.

They have so many things that really help you. They have someone call me and check on my health every month and ask me: "had you taken your medication?" or "have you had any emergency calls?" and I just think it's really nice that they have another nurse that calls me and wants to know how I'm feeling, or what I should tell the doctor if anything's wrong with me right now. I could give her the information that could help me out. Say for instance if I had a stomach flu, she could help me right there on the phone.

They covered the difference pretty much and actually as I understand kind of take care of the whole thing. They took care of everything pretty well. I would use this provider again in the future.

Because of the new health care system you have to have a primary care physician registered with Humana. I finally saw an ad in the paper and my wife is in the medical field and I asked her about the new doctor in town, Dr. Ramsey and I called and they said they do apply to that policy and I told them to make me an appointment. What really happens is when they are registered they tell you whetheror not they accept you. So I really didn't know if they would accept me after my visit.

Humana Medicare Advantage follow through on things like if we have been sick they actually call and ask if there is anything they can do. They provide a lot of information. The price is great. I am a retired state employee and that's part of our program. I am under Medicare and they are the gap filler.

We have had very good results with all submitted health care bills.

now that I moved from Ohio to the island of Maui there is a much smaller number of options to choose from (internists, specialists etc.)
however, I'm pretty satisfied with the ones I got.
