Poorly, We took our 2016 Forester in to H H&S for suggested 18th month routine maintenance. We have been very diligent about following up on the scheduled maintenance and using the dealer to make sure everything is looked after. This time we expected an oil change but were not surprised to hear we needed the brakes cleaned and adjusted ($60). We expected the oil change to be more expensive than the quickie places but were shocked at the cost and the extras. The total for the oil change with windshield wipers, cabin filter and tire rotation was over $350. Our visit cost $440. I made two mistakes. First I sent the car in with my son who was obviously take advantage of and second I ignored the number one rule “caveat emptor”. When a dealer is recommending a new cabin filter and special engine treatments for a car with 12,000 miles on it and new windshield wipers when they were just changed 5k ago. There was a 29 dollar EPA /extra material fees that are more than we pay for a complete oil change at the quickie place. We bought this car here. I think it’s time to find a new dealer that we can depend on and trust.

They were very understanding. We actually paid cash. The salesman was very good. They actually got a car for me, got one from another dealer near Cleveland. I wanted a blue one with a stick shift and they got one for me and it has been a very nice car. Because my wife works for Chase and Chase does their financing, we got the supplier discount.

It's synthetic oil, so it's a lot more expensive. It's an all wheel drive, so the alignment and everything is different. Their pricing is comparable to other dealerships.

I think service could be done a little better. They tried to up-sell but the reason I go back is because the manager has good customer service.

They are usually good.  A couple of times we had to come back because they couldn't identify the problem.

Andy, Todd, Monte, and Trevor!  They took the pain out of buying a car.  Not only did they have great service, they also dealt with us fairly on the price of the new car and our trade-in.  They were consistent or better than the other Columbus dealerships on  pricing, but they surpassed the competition on service.

Service was consistently good from our initial visit, to the final purchase.  A week after the sale I had to contact them for an item on the trade. They were great with this request as well.

I will think of them first, when purchasing my next car. They are the real deal.

On Monday morning I called Hatfield Hyundai and Service technician Rich told me he would call me with details when he found something out. To make a long story shorter after a few back it forth calls, Rich said about 5 pm. that they could not determine the cause, but that it was not the fuel pump and it was probably electrical in nature. He said it was getting late in the day and that he would need another day to figure it out. At that time he said that I was up to $386.00 for time spent and that this amount would be applied to the final amount if I had them fix it. I said I needed it fixed because I did not have other transportation. Rich said he would call me in the morning Tuesday. On Tuesday he said the technician worked late and found out the whole relay switch was blown out and that everything back to my fuel pump need replaced at a grand total of $1998.00!!! Wow. Rich said I would owe them that much if I gave them permission to fix it. If I didn't want it fixed I would owe $375.00 because they didn't change my oil yet. On a side note, I made my last payment on this vehicle the Santa Fe this month that I had purchased from Hatfield Hyundai! This vehicle has always been good. It has high miles. Is it coincidence that it would be such expensive bad luck or just too much information in the hands of dishonest people? At this point Hatfield gave me three options, two stated and one implied.1) pay $1998.00 to fix it. 2) put things back together without fixing anything and pay them $375.00. 3) buy a new car ( implied ). After much thought, because I didn't have the money, I decided I would call their bluff and pay the $375.00 and have the car towed to another mechanic. By the time it got to second destination the new mechanic noted that nuts from the fuse box were left unattached and on top of the fuse box. Somehow they made a 25 mile trip without falling on the ground. In the back interior of the car were multiple greasy handprints on the felt like light gray material that weren't there before. Also, my battery was completely dead and would not even operate my electronic door locks. It was working fine even after the car stalled out. Today mechanic number 2 (independent) called and said his diagnostic equipment determined that it was the fuel pump all along. He said it is completely fixed. He also included a new battery and relay switch unit. The final bill is $815.00. Bottom line, I could have spent $1200.00 needlessly. Being curious, I saved money, but in the process had no choice but to pay Hatfield $375.00 for nothing, a new battery that I didn't originally need, and a second tow that I had to pay $65.00 for! On top of that, they didn't put my car back together right and got it dirty. Hatfield is totally negligent and forced me to pay money that hey didn't earn!!! If I was really gullible, some people in my situation might have bought another car for no reason. I feel that Hatfield knew my car had high miles and that I had made my last payment , so they were going to twist my arm one last time to reach into my wallet and spend more money with them! In no uncertain terms, Hatfield Hyundai stole my money and inconvenienced me in a most definite way. Please think twice before you do business with them!!!

As always, I was treated with respect.  Vince Miller, Internet Sales has helped my buy my past Elantras. He, as well as Howard, Finance, behave with professionalism, Integrity and respect.  They enabled me to have a lower car payment than my last car, thanks to lower APR financing available and a fair price.  I have a feeling they gave me more for my trade-in (2003 Elantra with 107,600 miles) than it was worth.  I had been encouraged to try a Hyundai dealer closer to me, but couldn't shake the feeling, that I would be better off driving to the west side of Columbus from Pataskala, OH

The recall work took a long time because they had to wait for parts.  They had to keep the car because Hyundai said the car should not be driven until the recall work was done.  I was provided with a rental.  The car is now working as it should and I am happy!

Bought a car from Hatfield Hyundai. Our last buying expierence was horrible. Hatfield did everything possible to make us feel comfortable with our buying expierence. We negotiated a great deal and were very happy with the way we were treated.

Our experience with this dealership was really good.We were in the market to buy a new car and decided we wanted a Subaru. We traveled to Hatfield Subaru one evening, not realizing that they had changed their hours of operation and closed an hour earlier than their website indicated. We already knew what car we were interested in and the salesman, Monte, was very patient waiting on us, taking us for a test drive, letting us test drive the car. We decided to buy the car and the employees involved never treated us like we were an imposition, never treated us like a burden even though we caused them to stay later than they should have. We had such a positive experience that we will definitely go back to Hatfield Subaru when it's time to buy a new Subaru.
