Over the past few months I was noticing that the deck attached to my house was starting to sink in the corner. I contacted several handyman repair people for estimates and Handyman Guys, Inc. was the fastest to respond. I contacted them on Friday and they responded the same day, then they came out for an estimate on Saturday. The price seemed very reasonable and they were able to come out on Wednesday to repair the deck. They came right on time, explained what they were doing, and did a wonderful job. I am so happy with the work they did and I would definitely use them again for any future repair needs.

"[Member Name Removed], The description says that we did a roof repair job on this past Friday? You must have the wrong company since we did not work on Friday. Please confirm. Brian"

They have an office in Columbus and one in Cincinnati too. They were fast and able to fix the problem and provided me a written invoice which is what I needed.

Brian gave me an estimate on the same day. He broke down the prices of all the jobs so I could pick and choose the jobs I wanted done first. They called later in the week to ask if I'd received the estimate and if I wanted to employ their services. It was great! The 2 man crew showed up at 8 am for 2days and worked until 5. They cleaned up every day. Justin and Chris were really nice guys who didn't mind when I would watch them work. Justin did the plastering , Chris took care of painting. You can't tell there was work done on the ceiling ( although I think that's because the finish guys did such a fantastic job too). Yes I'll be hiring them again.

The bathroom remodel was horrible. Wood work was not sanded and cleaned prior to installation. Any debris on the woodwork was painted over. The paint was actually painted with a roller. Grout lines for the tile floor are various widths and the grout is crumbling. The metal and glass mosaic was rough cut and rough cut unevenly. Grout lines for the mosaic are uneven and some of the metal pieces are bent. Wall tiles in the bathtub surround were broken into; piece together and installed. The bathtub faucet was not fastened within the wall. It can actually be easily pulled from the wall. Nail heads are visible on the drywall. Nail heads on the trim in the bathroom and will as the trim around the doors were not filled. Doors were not installed properly. Doors stick to the heavily roller applied paint. The door only comes together at pressure points/ There is so much pressure the paint on the doors is pulled off. The bathtub is scratched. The drain cover does open enough to allow for adequate draining. Water pools up in the sink. They returned two times to deal with the above problems. They repaired very few. After the second of the two return trip, 71 issues were flagged. When Lowe's told them they needed to return a third time, Handyman Guys refused to do so and no longer sub-contract for Lowe's. May 71 problems that were the result of poor craftsmanship by Handyman Guys, Inc. have not been resolved. I canback-up everything I have said herein. I have attached some pictures taken when I was told the bathroom and door projects were completed. There are more problems and I have additional photos. Please do not hesitate to ask questions.

Overall, the project went extraordinarily well! Brian came out on two separate occasions; the first time to give me an estimate on the framing and the second time to go over a few extra things that I wanted to be completed (bathroom work and an additional landing at the foot of the stairs). He was very punctual and made it out to my house, on both occasions, in a very timely manner. He sent me over a quote within hours of leaving my house. The price was very reasonable and the timeframe was ideal. The crew came out to start the project on a Tuesday morning and were finished and cleaning by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. They were the epitome of professionalism and integrity - they worked tirelessly and communicated effectively with me throughout the duration of the project. Upon completion, they walked the basement with me to give a brief overview of what they did and made sure that I was satisfied with the completed work. They even added a few nice touches that weren't in the original blueprint, and didn't try to raise the price from the original quote to do so. The Handyman Guys completed the project exactly when they said they would and the quote is exactly what I paid after the completion of the project. This is a very trustworthy and distinguished company that I would highly recommend for any project that a potential customer is considering. I couldn't be happier with the results and I want to thank them for making the process a flawless one from beginning to end.

We had a few jobs we need completed in our home and we went with Handyman Guys based off of other reviews on Angie's List. We got 3 quotes for this job and this company was by far the most responsive. Stanley was very punctual and professional. He explained the entire job and the process to us in a way that we could understand what was happening. When he learned that the backslpash what we had chosen was more difficult than he originally thought, he did not complain, but instead pushed forward, took his time and did an incredible job. He ended up having to come back a second time to finish the job. The company was able to schedule a time that was convenient for my wife to be home. With the work in the kitchen finished, Stanley quickly completed the other two small projects. For the quantity and quality of the work that was done, I was very surprised by the final price as I thought the value was much higher than what we paid, which is always great! I would recommend Handyman Guys for these types of projects. They did great work!

We had a problem getting the correct part, manufacturer kept sending the incorrect part. Handyman Guys did not give up and went beyond their duty to finally get the part and install it.

I had two guys assisting, Rob and Jose. Jose did the caulking and baseboard removal. Rob hung the ceiling fans, outdoor light, and assisted with the baseboard. Both didn't mess around, but were taking enough time to do things correctly. I appreciated that! Jose even did some extra caulking for me without hesitation. Both were professional and cleaned up afterwards. They saved me a ton of time and frustration.

We had an overall terrible experience with Handyman Guys, Inc. We dealt directly with the owner at the beginning and long the way. He initially told us the work would take 2 months. The job started in August 1, 2014 and ended up taking 10 months. We were mislead several times along the way directly by the owner about when the job would be done and when several steps along the way would be done. At the end of three months we told him we wanted to re-negotiate the price, and he assured us the job would be done by the end of November 2014. We have an email from him stating it will be done in November. He also even stated that things like touch ups on paint would get done by a certain time even if he had to come over and do it himself. Of course that did not happen. We had 10 months of cleaning our floor and bathroom and the general inconvenience of workers coming in and out. Although there were times when weeks would go by without any workers coming over or any kind of progress being made. We had a number of other issues including early on workers smoking in the house and regularly leaving cigarette butts on our front porch. Every time we tried to talk to the manager we were either lied to or brushed off. The one exception was he took the guy who was smoking in the house of the job. But workers kept leaving cigarette butts on our front porch. Then the worst part of it all, the owner had the nerve to threaten to take action if we did not pay our final payment the day after the work was done. We initially agreed to pay half up front and half when the work was completed. We obviously paid the half up front. Then they asked for 25% around the 6 or 7 month mark. Aside from the fact the job was already 4 months over, we were fine paying 25% for supplies. Then we were rudely pressured to submit the final payment with the threat to take further action if we did not submit the payment the day after the work was done. Again, that was directly from the owner who had assured us the job would be done 6 months earlier and directly himself had lied to us on a number of other occasions. When we complained about how long the job took, he again sent a rude email saying he could ?accept? a final payment that would give us a 3% discount. Again no apology or explanation offered. The actual final product was fine. I don't think any better than it would have been with any number of other options that we could have (and should have) gone with. At many points along the way we had to ask them to fix or change things. And they tried to force us into some decisions we didn?t want to make near the end. Based on the job taking 500% longer than we were told and how we were lied to and treated rudely throughout the project, I would never work with this company again. I would never recommend this company to anyone for anything.

The 2 guys who did the work came on time every day and came ready to work. They knew their stuff and cleaned up multiple times per day. They kept me apprised of every thing they were doing and solicited my input on issues or preferences. They kept all tools in a neat area out of walkways and covered and enclosed the bathroom when they mudded and sanded. Each night they put all work materials in my garage or their own trucks. They weren't called away to finish other jobs (well maybe once) and I had the consistency of having the same guys doing the project. They were personable and respectful of my space and treated my wife and I in a friendly professional way. They were fairly accurate on their estimate of when the job would be completed as well I had a frank discussion with the owner prior to the project beginning as I had expected someone else to actually do the work. I was a little heated and he mostly kept his cool (I was more upset with the general contractor and took it out on him a bit) . Anyway all he said would happen did so I respect him for that. He came out at least once to inspect the work product and job progress. When I had an issue he sent a foreman in to tear out a wall and fix the studs needed to attach the shower door. These guys were really good and I wouldn't hesitate to use them shin.

A little over three hour job. It was done to my satisfaction. I felt like it was a little pricey for the work that needed done.

I took 3 days off work to allow for this 1.5 day job.
Day 1 - showed up on time, no ladder, and afraid of heights. I loaned ladder and Sawzall.
Day 2 - drywall installers showed up with 1 short ladder. I provided ladder, razor blades, protective glasses, electrical outlet box, and even drywall when they ran out.
Day 3 - finishers showed up, no ladder, afraid of heights, refused to do the job w/o scaffold.
Day 4, 6, 7, 8 - new finisher showed up on time every day - using my ladder - he did an excellent job of finishing drywall; took 3+ days of exhausting work to finish large job single handedly. I put up plastic to seal off rooms and cover furniture.
Day 9 - I installed/wired my own outlet.
They were all very nice people who worked very hard. They were just ill prepared with staff and equipment. This job definitely needed a scaffold. I willingly chose to provide the missing tools/supplies in order to try to keep to schedule. I still ended up having to move my work schedule several days in order to accommodate the overrun.
Brian (owner?) who had estimated the job originally - did not really appreciate my feedback to him on how he had under-estimated the complexity of the job. Nor did I receive any credit for my time, contributions.

"[member name removed], I apologized that the job took longer than expected. I offered to give you a credit, in which you declined and said it was not about the money. Please do not say that I did not appreciate your feedback because how could you possibly know that? We spoke over the phone and I spoke with my team that afternoon regarding your job. I offered to come back and hook up the outlet, in which you refused. You watched my guys the whole time and offered your equipment the second they did not have anything right next to them. The bottom line is we finished the job and we did a good job for you."

I had several repairs that were needed including exterior painting, glass replacement, siding repair and replacing nails in soffits and exterior trim. The estimate went fine and I selected the company on the professionalism displayed by the estimator, even though the price was higher than other companies.
During the estimate I expressed my concerns regarding the repairs. The main concern was a repair to re-attach vinyl siding. Another company had been out and simply re-connected the loose piece to the channel. The siding came loose about a week later. So this time I talked in great detail about the how siding was to be correctly re-attached. The soffit needed to be removed. The siding removed, adjusted and re-installed. The estimator agreed that that was needed to be done to properly re-attach the siding and estimated several hours of labor to complete the job. I was told that the repair was completed as agreed upon in the estimate, but instead I found that the repairman removed nothing and simply spent about three minutes pounding several nails through the siding. The siding has been damaged and now has holes and needs replaced.
The nails that needed replaced in the soffits and trim never got replaced and I was told that the repairs had been made.
While painting the shutters one of them was damaged. They did not bother to tell me and when I discovered it, the man doing the repair said that he would put some duct tape on the back and paint over it. Because it was up high nobody would notice. I insisted that it be replaced. The shutter did get replaced but somehow they managed to get paint all over the siding and left it.
The last repair was to replace a piece of glass in an exterior sun room window. The repairman left a board proper against the glass to hold the glass in place along with a note that said not to open the doors because the glass may fall out. I looked at the repair and was surprised to find that the window looked nothing like the other windows and was missing the trim that holds the glass in place. I called the company and was told that they broke the trim so the repairman used some calking to hold the glass in place.
I canceled my $940.00 check and refused to pay for the work that had not been completed. I did pay $200.00 for the piece of glass but regret paying anything now that I have the $1600.00 estimates to replace the siding that was damaged, purchase new trim and properly make the repairs.
If anyone would like I have pictures.
