The agreement was for 90 days, after which the fine print of the agreement indicated I needed to
pick up the chairs or they would dispose of them. Who doesn't lose track of things after 90 days?
While I was out of town, a single message was left on my home phone (no email, which I would have gotten out of town), and by the time I got the message, poof! the chairs were already gone to a charity and I was told that a charitable receipt for tax purposes was in the mail.
More notice could have easily been given. I will never patronize this store again.

The great thing about Grandview Merchantile is the constantly lowering prices by 10%. On some furniture and gifts, they have a price tags which lists the price of the object week after week. If it doesn't sell one week, the next week there is already listed a lower price. Of course you run the risk of the item being sold if you wait for a better price. But sometimes, items are already on their last price and you can really get some deals.
If you want to sell your items, the store takes 50% of the selling price in the furniture and home goods section of the store.

They have a great selection and good quality. I would use them again in the future.

They have qualified people who work there and really know their business. Alyssa, who is one of the managers, is an absolutely wonderful person who I could deal with forever. She is very honest and very knowledgeable.

I liked them and they were pretty good. They came out since I had a lot of things and made good use of it. They also tell you what things are good and what are not. They give an estimate on the things that they think is worth and every single piece I had given them was sold. I even buy things from them that are unique like lamps, tables and so on. The price was good and I would recommend them since I had sold them a little antique table that I had bought for $15 and I made $100 for it. They were also responsive and they recommend their service for delivery since they came over and packed the things put it on the truck which was fine. I also wanted to go over to see how my merchandise was displayed and I would use them again in the future.

The suite did not sell. The store has a great location, it is very well merchandised, I like the way they reduce the price every two weeks. They also will donate unsold items to charity and send you the receipt. They are very helpful with pricing.

Grandview Mercantile's prices seem fairly reasonable. The store is broken up into rooms and a couple of the rooms seem to have higher prices (more in line with antique stores) than the room that is furthest north. Their pricing structure seems very fair. They initially list an item for a certain price and then offer a discounted price after several weeks according to pre-set dates. So, if an item has been on the floor for over a month and has not sold, you can get it for nearly half the price that was originally listed. The store has a good variety of items (furniture, dishware, artwork, etc.), but I would note that several of their pieces I looked at had some type of damage. Choose carefully and inspect all items before purchasing. A great store, though. I will definitely be a repeat shopper looking for what new goodies they've gotten in.

GRANDVIEW MERCANTILE HAS A GREAT SELECTION OF ANTIQUES. THE PEOPLE THERE ARE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. IN ADDITION, THERE IS A CONSIGNMENT STORE NEXT DOOR WHICH IS FUN TO WALK AROUND.
