"Goo Goo Express Wash has been in business for 68 years and customer satisfaction has always been our primary goal. When Ms. (member name removed) first contacted us about damage to her vehicle possibly occurring at one of our car washes, we opened a full investigation. Since it was a few weeks after her wash before she notified us, we were somewhat limited in our ability to secure a definitive determination. The wash tunnel design we utilize is specifically engineered to produce a clean car and avoid any possibility of damage to our customer’s car. There were no mechanical breakdowns or malfunctions during the weeks prior to her wash or in the subsequent weeks after her wash. We responded that we have nothing in the wash that would damage her vehicle and that the damage had occurred elsewhere during the time after her after her wash and the day a couple of weeks later that she noticed that damage. We were subsequently contacted by her attorney and we explained our response to him. After he offered to send us the repair bill for review, we called the dealership that performed the repairs and asked for their diagnosis as to the cause of the damage. The response was that something had hit the spoiler from above and broken the mounting points on the rear spoiler. After we explained our wash process, indicating that there was nothing that could “hit” the spoiler, they agreed that they only felt like something hit it and could not indicate anything in the wash process that would have caused this damage. We shared that exchange with the attorney and he said he would verify this conversation and share it with his client. Approximately a month later we were contacted again by the attorney who wanted to pass along to us that Ms. (member name removed) remembered she had heard a loud noise in the dryer section of the wash and felt like that was when the damage occurred. Our response again, was that there was nothing in the wash that could cause this damage, there had been no equipment malfunctions and that we had thoroughly reviewed all the information that had been provided and determined that we were not responsible for the damage to her vehicle.
