GEORGETOWN BUILDERS

We used Georgetown Builders 9 years ago to shore up our floors before installing hardwood on the recommendation of friends whose kitchen and family room had gotten a total overhaul from Georgetown, and we couldn't have been more fortunate to find them. Last year we had Georgetown do a complete kitchen renovation, including some structural work, and the whole experience was as great as it could have been, given the scope of the project! Bob and his crew are everything you'd want in a builder--experienced, knowledgeable, cost-conscious, honest, and trustworthy. They were always on time, did superior work (their subcontractors have been working with Georgetown for over 20 years!), and cleaned up after their work every single day. When touch-ups were needed, Georgetown was there within 24 hours. I got my dream kitchen well within (actually under) my budget, which in this economy is a little miracle, and Georgetown made it happen. We can recommend them completely and will use them again. One of the best businesses we've ever dealt with, hands down.

It was wonderful. The workers were very fantastic. They paid attention to detail and I have not seen work done this well in a long time. Excellent communication. I have four dogs and they were very nice to my dogs.

The quality was good.  We were happy with the way things worked out, as far as the bathroom.  We were a little bit unhappy with some things regarding the process, so I can describe that wasn't more economical.  They had a couple of suppliers whom they really wanted to work with, which we really didn't want to because they were too expensive.  They sent us to a showroom to see some fixtures and things like that.  When we said that the sidings were too expensive, they kind of reacted and said they were no way they were looking for anything cheaper.  As a result, the project got more expensive than we really wanted to, and that was a part of the reason.  Another thing was that we had some communication difficulties very early in the project to get the ball rolling.  We rather made an informal agreement with them, so we can get started.  Then few weeks later when we talked about making some changes in the agreement, they bumped up the price.  We didn't feel that was fair.  We asked them to meet us somewhere in the middle, and they pretty much refused.

We were very satisfied with their work. They really took time at the beginning to make sure that everything was covered so that we did not have any surprises at the end. I really appreciated this.

Throughout the project they constantly kept me informed of when they would be there and what they were doing. The quality of work is excellent and the price is reasonable.
