About us
We have two full-time veterinarians and one part-time veterinarian. Dr. James Lehnerd is the owner of our practice. Dr. Christina Little joined our practice in 2005 and Dr. Susan Reed has been with our practice since 1990. All of our veterinarians graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. We have a staff of educated and dedicated professionals including seven licensed veterinary technicians to assist our veterinarians.

I have been going there for a long time. It’s been 34 years since I have been going to them. We were taking dogs and cats to them and not we take only cats. Everything there is A-rated. I would recommend them to others. They are very concerned about the animals. They treat the animals’ right and their customers’ right. The quality that they deliver above everything is good.

"We are sorry for any confusion this client had about their medication, unfortunately, not all dosages of prescription medications are made for human medicine and therefore are not available at a human pharmacy which was the case with this particular strength of medication. We do try to allow our clients to save money when purchasing a medication through a human pharmacies when possible, but we will not dose a patient incorrectly to do so. We also give away free treats to help with the medicating process for all of our presciptions which you will not find at a human pharmacy. We hope this will help to clear up any miscommunications."

The staff was friendly and the doctors are very thorough. My dogs seem fine with being there and are treated well. I can schedule my appointments online, get medication online, and get reminders from them online.

I love them very much and I've been with them probably since 1998. I guess it's going to sound crazy but I take all the stray cats from my neighborhood and take them. I'll catch them in my have a heart trap and they'll help me try to find homes for them. They kept one of the cats up there for a whole week and I didn't have to pay anything until we were able to find him a home. The other ones, I'll stay in the neuter room and they don't charge me too much to do that because I am a long time customer. They are only 5 minutes away from where I live and my cats hate being in the car. They are in a convenient location and I really like them. They are not cheap or anything and they don't give deals all the time. They charge the normal rate. They are very responsive. When I trap a cat, I just call and say I am coming. They are very punctual when I have an appointment with them.

DR. LEHNERD HAS BEEN OUR VETERINARIAN SINCE WE FIRST MOVED TO COLUMBUS IN 1989. HE HAS PROVIDED EXCELLENT AND COMPASSIONATE TREATMENT FOR ALL OF OUR FOUR CATS DURING THE PAST 16 YEARS. HE TREATED MY 15-YR-OLD SIAMESE WHEN SHE DEVELOPED TERMINAL CANCER AND EVENTUALLY HAD TO BE PUT TO SLEEP, AND THE WHOLE OFFICE STAFF WAS VERY KIND AND COMPASSIONATE DURING THIS WHOLE PROCESS. HE AND HIS STAFF HAVE ALSO WORKED WITH US WHEN WE HAD ''LITTER BOX ISSUES'' WITH ONE OF OUR OTHER CATS. IT IS CLEAR THAT DR. LEHNERD AND HIS STAFF LOVE ANIMALS. THEY ARE ALWAYS PROMPT IN CALLING CLIENTS WITH RESULTS OF TESTS, OR TO LET US KNOW THE OUTCOME OF SURGICAL PROCEDURES. HIS OFFICE IS WARM AND INVITING, AND HIS STAFF ARE UNDERSTANDING WHEN ANIMALS ARE SHY OR AFRAID. I WOULD NOT HAVE ANYONE ELSE TREATING MY CATS.

I WAS COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY. I AM SO HAPPY I CHOSE THIS CLINIC FOR MY PET. I WAS GREETED PROFESSIONALLY AND WARMLY BY THE STAFF. THE LOBBY WAS CLEAN AND OPEN. THE TECHS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND PATIENT WITH MY DOG. THE DOCTOR WAS HELPFUL AND VERY FRIENDLY. I CAN TELL THAT THIS IS THE VET FOR ME. I RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANY NEW AND EXISTING ANIMAL OWNER IF YOU HAVE A CAT/DOG. THE CLINIC ALSO HAS PERMANENT RESIDENT'S THAT HAVE THE RUN OF THE CLINIC, AND THIS REALLY PUT A SENSE OF EASE AND COMFORT IN THE AIR.

DR. JIM LEHNERD AND HIS STAFF ARE EXCEPTIONAL. WE HAVE TAKEN OUR CAT HERE FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS AND EVERY TIME WE HAVE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE. THEY TREAT OUR CAT LIKE HE IS A PART OF THEIR FAMILY. WE HAD A VERY CLOSE CALL WITH OUR CAT AND WE TRULY BELIEVE DR. LEHNERD HELPED SAVE OUR CAT'S LIFE. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM AND HIS STAFF TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A COMPASSIONATE VETERINARIAN.
