We have had Flawless do our trimming, edging and mulching since 2006. We have a half acre lot with a lot of large beds. They have always done a great job and have been easy to work with and have reasonable prices. Aaron and James did our trimming, edging and mulching yesterday (May 10) and did an awesome job. Ann is very easy to work with by e-mail or by phone to schedule work. In the past we have also had Flawless remove shrubs and plant new shrubs and trees. We highly recommend this company for your landscaping work.

That did not work out so well. I had trouble scheduling, they acted like they didn’t want to schedule with me. They kept putting it off and I talked to them five times before they tried to get it scheduled and each time I was explaining what I wanted edged. I did not want the front edged, it was out and back that I wanted edged and I even emailed them a diagram of my yard to show them what to edge and what not to edge and when I came home from work, they were edging the wrong place. It was two young boys and it wasn’t their fault. I think they were not communicated to, they came out and started edging what looked like should be edged and that is not what I wanted. I told them this is not what I wanted edged, I showed them the back where I needed edging so they went ahead and did it but didn’t do a great job. I can’t remember the name of the girl I was trying to schedule it with and she was not cooperative at all and she must have not communicated to them what I wanted even after I had sent a diagram. I never heard from them after them because I was not going to expect any additional charges for doing it wrong. I let it go because I never got charged. It was a good price because of the big deal.

We hired this company based on a Big Deal. The deal for bed edging was for a certain number of feet. When the crew came to do the work, the weather had been very dry, so the soil was hard. This made their job more difficult because they did the edging by hand. This surprised us because when we have had edging professionally done previously, it was mostly done with a machine. We didn't feel the edging was deep enough, so although we had the company give us an estimate to edge the beds that weren't included in the deal, we didn't have the additional work done.

Communications with them was by email only. I called a few times and left a message, but did not get a call back. I did get email replies to my calls. The work was scheduled to be completed and they did as scheduled. I asked for the aeration and fertilizer special with overseeding added. I got the feeling that they scheduled so many aerations as a result of the good price, that they did not have time to add the overseeding. I can't confirm this, its just a feeling.
I will consider using them for some tree work in the spring and also the same service next fall.

The design wasn't quite what I was looking for. I was a little nervous about it because they didn’t know the spelling of a flower they were going to use. They also had some plants and flowers in the plan I didn’t want to use and I didn’t feel like they listened to what I really wanted to do. They did come out on time and arrived promptly and did the design they were scheduled to do though.

Most initial communication, including the estimate for the job was done using email. The actual work completed was fine. Flawless did the job well despite issues needing to remove more stumps than anticipated and removing old edging material, bricks, which were neatly piled after removal. Flawless also followed customers request to salvage perennials after they were removed. Main problem encountered was in communication. I was on the Flawless' schedule twice and they didn't show up or call to let me know they needed to reschedule. I had to call them to find out why they hadn't shown up and when I could reschedule. Finally they ended up coming late when I was not at home during any point of the job. I did not receive a followup call to see if I was happy with the work.

"I apologize that you felt we were not punctual. We do work in conditions where we have to rely on the weather. You were involved with the Groupon promotion which actually put us extremely behind with a rainy season. We will never offer another big deal promotion again. It has obviously upset more people than I could have imagined. I called you and told you we were coming the day we came, and our crew leader called you that day as well, then you were suppose to pay upon completion and mailed in a payment two weeks later. Just keep in mind when you work with a contractor that works in outdoor elements you have to be considerate to their situation as well and they cannot be blamed for that. I also worked with you on your budget as well, so I am really disappointed that you have not taken that into consideration for your review."

Flawless was very easy to contact and followed up with us right away. We had some real concerns about re-doing our back yard during the spring because we thought our two dogs would be digging up grass seed all summer long. Flawless was the first company to recommend sod (which we hadn't thought of) and on top of that their estimate was below another company that was going to be laying grass seed. Once we signed a contract they fit us in fast and easy although there had been constant rain all spring. They completed the job in just a couple of days. Everyone was very professional and very knowledgeable. We wished we had found them before a previous job and we are already thinking of new ones for them to do. Thank you Flawless!!!!!

I was interested in deep edging, not mulching. We never formally discussed what I wanted, and I was never given a date of when they would come out. They came out without my knowledge and deep edged my existing flower beds. She left a message on my home voicemail the day that they came out that they would be arriving soon, even though she had my cell, work number and email. I didn’t want the flower beds edged, but she said they did so because that is what other customers wanted. The owner eventually apologized and said she would send someone else out to the job correctly. I spray painted the areas I wanted deep edged, but instead they cut the sod since they had a sod cutter on the truck. The work was still not done as promised. I was given a refund due the inconvenience. Then she called upset because she assumed I had left a negative report on Angie’s List, even though at the time I had not.

It is turned out just great. They did the work when they say they are going to. They show up when they say they are going to. They are friendly to work with. They do good work.

We are very pleased with it. They did a good job cleaning up what they did. We are half way there. We have to wait until one of the utilities comes out to have them finish the work.

This is a family-owned company; a sort of a start up. They work very hard to please and do a good job. They continue to increase their education; both going to school for landscape architecture and horticulture. They are very responsive via both email and telephone. They are customer-service driven, and I like their professionalism. They make sure that we are happy and taken care of. I know I can count on them if I am out of town to get the lawn mowed and get it done right. We have a unique yard with a slope and they handle it well. Their quality of work is good. Their price is competitive and reasonable. The mowing is about $35 a week. Tree removal costs depend on the size of the tree. I would use them again in the future.

They did a very good job. They were fast and good communicators with us. I did have an engraved stone by a tree missing, and I asked them about it and he owned the problem and replaced this stone for me with no questions asked.
