"[Member Name Removed], we've already responded to you on Facebook, but here's our response again, because you felt the need to review us negatively on multiple sites: "[Member Name Removed]you contracted Home Depot for your fence install. Elite Fence installs for all the Home Depots in Central Ohio. All of the installers are employees and go through a company background check and are vetted before they can work on Home Depot sites per the Home Depot review process. Home Depot sub contracts all their install services out. HVAC, Windows, doors, flooring. This is common knowledge. The "case" you're talking about is really a customer complaint that will go through the the HD system to our system and is the standard operating procedure for a customer that's not happy with an install. Your fence was installed exactly as you asked and you did a walk through with the installers upon completion. After the walk through you signed the completion paper that you were happy with the job and even wrote about what a good job they did. ( see picture of your form ). We understand after your discussion with our office that something may have changed for you personally but Elite Fence cannot tear out a fence because of that nor can we even respond without going through the proper HD channels. Your "case" or complaint will be handled per order and appropriately though the guidelines of your contract through Home Depot. We're sorry you're not happy now and we will attempt to remedy the problem with you." [Photo of signed walk around form] Addressing the gaps: " You chose chain-link however your yard is slightly sloped and this was discussed with you during the sale process. The slope causes the bottom of the chain-link to not be as tight as if the installed on a flat area. You can't stretch it on a curve as well as if it was flat. So you opted to use a guide wire to run along the bottom to help tighten the fence. Now the "Tent Stake" actually is a common practice if you think for a minute, to drive a stake in a problem area that isn't tight enough for you. This is not Elites responsibility and it was discussed with you during the walk though as an option for you and you were fine with it. Now you also chose 6' gates to be installed on the sloped sides. You were advised of the issues of installing a 6' gate on a slope but decided that's where you wanted the gates.( The contract has a picture of where everything will be installed, your initials are next to the layout. ) You can see by the pictures that the gap might be 4" or so ( see more pictures ) but could easily be negotiated with some soil if you so choose to do so. This was also discussed during the walk through and you signed off that everything as great. We would have been more inclined to help before you decided to take this course of action. Your complaint will be processed accordingly by the HD process.""
"[Member Name Removed], Are you sure that you contacted Elite Fence of Columbus and not Elite Fence of Newark? Our competitor has had some problems with responding, as reported in other reviews made in error on this page. I know this complaint was made several years ago, but it reflects poorly on our business, and I would like to resolve it. Thanks, Brendon"
