Don was easy to contact, responsive to all inquiries, timely, and professional. He quickly scheduled a time to measure countertops and offer samples. Responded well when we decided to go with a cheaper brand of quartz after visiting the showroom (which he encouraged us to do) and quickly provided an adjusted quote using the new material. Don was prompt for every appointment and clearly answered all of our questions. Installation was professional and efficient. We are very happy with both the new countertop and the process of working with Don.

We had Don do work for us 3 years ago and knew he was the professional to call to take care of this project! Our first floor half bath sink had a crack and the two-handled hot/cold faucets made me nervous with grandkids around - didn't want one of them turning on hot only and getting burned. Don and his plumber did an excellent job replacing the sink and changing out the faucet to a one handled one. He suggested a blank hole cover and a soap pump to "fill" in the holes in the granite. I'm happy with the work! He is considerate of your time and home. I highly recommend him!

He did my entire bathroom and the faucets weren't installed properly. They come back to try to fix it but still it did not work. They wanted to charge me to put in new faucets but I already paid them for the service and they never did it to completion. They don't stand behind their work. They charge $130.00 for the hook up of plumbing. This is a warning. Do not use them.

I just purchased a new oven that did not fit in my (nearly) 30” spot. Mr. Gearon arranged for a crew to come to my house and shave the granite countertop. They came the same day, they used a shop vac while grinding the granite. They were two polite young men who were prompt, moved the oven for us, and cleaned up after themselves. My kids should be so well behaved! I was afraid that it would cost a fortune to get someone to the house for such a small job, fortunately I was wrong.

Don is friendly and very helpful, he goes above and beyond to help you achieve the look and function you want. We've already used him in two homes and would again.

Via Angie’s List we contacted Don and his response was prompt and professional. He made a pre-work inspection to determine what materials and techniques were required. He also advised us of some other issues that were not readily amenable to repair and we agreed with his assessment. Once scheduled, he arrived as expected, completed the job within the day, and was neat, personable, and professional while doing so. The results were perfect and completely refreshed our installation.

Don was great. He came out and talked to us about our options. We thought about going with one design but he suggested that we go a different direction. We went with his suggestion and we are glad we did. He was right. We ended up saving money because of his idea. We would use him again. Don was on time and went right to work. It was a pleasure working with him.

Don replaced our kitchen sink and so we called him back for this project. We have high respect for his work ethic and professionalism so it was easy to know to call him. He came out and looked at the sink and current formica. We decided Corian would be a good choice - it is a small counter and he thought it would save us money instead of going with granite. He called us with the sink we should buy at Lowe's...which saved us the time of hunting it and the faucet. He then called to say he already had a piece of Corian and if I liked it I could use that, saving us from ordering a large piece just to do our small job. He ran a sample of that to our house. Worked perfect! The day of the job he and the plumber removed the old counter and tub. They were so careful in their work. A few years back I had a speciality paint application done in the room, so touch-ups would not be simple. He slightly increased the height of the backsplash piece to cover the transition from the old to the new and you cannot even see where the change occurred. We cannot say enough about Don. He is a true professional...wants you to be happy in your improvements..and charges a fair price. We highly recommend him.

Don's price for the countertop install was fair, not the lowest or highest of the quotes I got. What distinguished Don was his willingness to remove the old backsplash. None of the other countertop contractors wanted to mess with that. The job turned out great and we were happy with Don and his work. Would highly recommend him.

We had a corian countertop that had scratches and what appeared to be some kind of glue on it from a previous owner. Don cleaned up everything, and polished it, and it now looks like new. He is a real professional.

We had been considering replacing our Corian countertops with granite or quartz, as they were showing  normal wear and tear signs after being installed 15 years ago as part of a total kitchen remodeling. Before doing so, we decided to search for an expert refinisher experienced in dealing with this specific material. After thorough research, we found Don Gearon , whose exceptional and detailed reviews on Angie's List persuaded us to go ahead with restoring rather than replacing them, as several reviews revealed that he had refinished Corian counter tops for others who were extremely pleased with the results. Don worked on ours for almost a full day and we were amazed that he restored them to their original condition. He is an extremely honest and highly skilled technician who demonstrates a commitment to excellence. He is meticulous in ensuring that no damage is done to back splashes and cabinetry, which in our case was a concern because several counter tops are located in relatively small spaces throughout the kitchen. While the sanding work produces a fair amount of dust, he took pains to shroud the work area and prevent the particles from escaping the immediate work area. 
Don is very careful not to over-promise perfect results, but in our case he wildly exceeded our high expectations. He is very proud of his work and takes every step to ensure he maintains the highly praised reputation he has earned from his customers. We are very pleased that we found him and strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a true professional in a very specialized field which larger competitors compete in and make promises they are incapable of delivering.

Our old sink was ivory porcelain. We bought a new sink and contracted with Lowe's to do the work. The installers came in, took one look and said they would not do the job (they feared they could crack the granite). Lowe's had to refund the installation since none of their contractors would do it. Thanks to Angie's List I found Don.  He worked with us to figure out how to get the sink out. He was confident they could. Then we had the limitation of the current granite opening. The sink from Lowe's had to be returned...it would not work. Don spent a lot of time looking and calling on our behalf to find a stainless sink that would fit the opening. To be sure, he ordered a template to match it. Don made several "pre-trips" to our house to get this figured out!  He and his installer worked for 6 hours and did a perfect job replacing the sink. It looks beautiful.  Besides being an extremely professional man, Don is a genuinely nice guy.  We were definitely in good hands when we hired Don.

Everything went well.  I am very satisfied with the completed project.  I plan to use him on my next countertop project.

I was having a new kitchen sink installed into an existing counter top (made of Corian).  I had purchased the sink and installation services from a local big box hw store.  Once the old sink was removed the installer determined that the opening in the counter top needed to be enlarged by 1/4 inch so that the new sink would fit properly.  Unfortunately, the installer was not certified to make such a change to a Corian (or granite for that matter) counter top.   So, I had to find a service provider to enlarge the opening so that the new sink would fit properly.  The installer would then return to complete the sink installation and re-connect the plumbing.
I looked on Angie's List and found that Don Gearon was listed as installing Corian and granite counter tops.   I called Don and asked if he would be available to make the alteration to the counter top so the new sink would fit properly.   Don said he could do the task and, fortunately for me, he was available the same day I called (he had just completed a major install for another customer).
Don arrived early in the afternoon and within an hour had enlarged and properly size the counter top opening to fit the new sink.  He was very knowledgeable and skilled in sizing and making the cut necessary for the new sink.
Don did excellent work and I feel very fortunate that I was able to obtain his services on such short notice.  He charged a fair price for the work he performed and helped me out of a troublesome situation.

Don took field measurements then brought in a template to ensure everything would fit.  Finally he brought in the countertops and backsplashes and installed them.  Don and his helper were very careful and precise.  Everything worked as planned.  I am amazed at how Don was able to totally hide all of the seams.  The results were great.

He first came and made the necessary measurements. When he came to install the countertop it went in perfectly. He did an excellent job in calking the edge between the top and the walls, always a challenging job to do well and cleanly. A few months earlier he had installed a large L-shaped kitchen counter along uneven walls. The job was done very well. Don is very personable and professional. I would highly recommend him.

Don did a superb job in every way. First of all, he came over the day I called.  I called two other providers--one called back a week later and the other still has not called back.
Don arrived that afternoon, assessed the problem, and explained to me what my various options were.  He explained both a lower-cost option that we could try to see if it solves the problem long term, and he explained a more time-intensive and costly option. I decided to try the first option now; certainly, if the second option becomes necessary, I will call Don Gearon to do that work for me.
He then fit me into his schedule within a week and took care of the necessary repairs.
I now have a functioning kitchen sink again!  Don is a courteous, efficient, and polite expert.  He's a pleasure to work with and I appreciated not only his professionalism but his clarity and honesty about my repair situation.

Our countertop and the sink was made of Corian and we wanted to remove a food stain from the sink.  Don suggested several alternitives and recommended what would be the best approach.  We took his recommendation and he removed the stain, buffed and polished the sink.  When he was done, the sink looked as if it was a brand new sink!
Don was punctual, completed the work on time.  He is probably one of the experts in Columbus who knows how to work with Corian.

I contacted Don a couple years ago when we were beginning some home remodeling.  I saw his name on Angie's List and I read his customer reviews.  I called him because of the excellent customer reviews he received and his high percentage of customer satisfaction rating - almost 100% on the histogram.
We soon found that he was extremely competent and Don exceeded our expectations.  He had a great deal of experience and a comprehensive knowledge of the countertop business.  Don stepped us the through the entire remodeling process from start to finish including ideas/discussions about what to do, how to do it, etc.  We kept our cabinets and Don told us how to clean them up.  He is a handyman and he combined a free-standing counter section with our existing long countertop, finishing it beautifully.  He guided us through granite countertop selection and went to the countertop company a few times to ensure everything was handled properly - selection of granite coloration for sections of countertop and working with vendor to ensure measurements were accurate.  During granite countertop installation there was a small gap between the backsplash and the window.  He installed a small piece of wood that matched the window frame to finish off the look.  Don even contacted us in Europe while we were on vacation to check on a couple issues which we were grateful for.  He also installed a double sink in our master bathroom beautifully.  Also, Don had a good working relationship with the granite installers.  He was very specific about who he wanted to complete the work for us.
Don offered to install cabinet hardware once we made our selection and purchased them.  A year later I called him and he came out and installed all hardware.  
We felt very fortunate to have such a collaborative and thorough person to work with.  We are very happy with the results and we would unequivocally recommend Don Gearon based on his character and the job he completed for us.
