Guys were great to work with during selection process. I installed the cabinet but their granite installers were great. They worked promptly and did an excellent job. Cleaned up and it looked as if they were never there. Would recommend again

They did a pretty good job with the kitchen counter top (granite) install, however, they claimed that we did not order the counter top stone sealer. The order sheet provided to the installers, on the day of installation, had everything on it that I ordered except the stone sealer. I had to call them and send a copy of my original invoice in order to get them to send me a refund. It seemed as if it was a hassle for them to make this right. If I had not kept my original invoice, I'm not sure they would have sent the refund. In addition, on the day of install, the installers asked to use the bathroom. We had just had new carpet put in as well,m on the route to the bathroom, so we asked them to remove their shoes. The installer then never used the restroom because he was unwilling to remove his shoes... it was a very strange experience.

Then, we also ordered 2 bathroom vanity tops (quartz). We gave information to the employee that was helping us (the day of order) and she filled out the fabrication sheet. We reviewed it and everything appeared to be as we had asked. When we received the tops, however, one of the tops had the sink hole centered on the slab (which was correct) and the other tops had the hole off centered by 1" (incorrect). I called to see how about this being corrected since my fabrication sheet never indicated I wanted the hole off center. The owner insisted on communicating through email and did not call me back. He then tried to tell me I filled out the fabrication sheet wrong and it was my fault because I didn't specify I wanted a hole centered on the slab... however, the other vanity top came back as correct (it had the sink hole centered) and it was ordered from the same fabrication sheet. Its hard for me to understand how the same fabrication sheet could yield 2 separate results and then the owner tries to claim I made the mistake. 

They were NOT willing to correct this and now I'm stuck with a top with an off centered hole and it cost me $300. I'm very displeased with the customer service. I feel like if I were to do business with these guys again, I'd have to really watch my back so they do not try to pull one over on me. I would not recommend Discount Granite if you are looking for a smooth and easy transaction. I'm guessing that since their prices are lower than competitors, their margins are also low.  It seems like they can't afford to pay for the mistakes and they will try to save $40 on the stone sealer if they can pull it past you. 

Once in the warehouse, the granite was displayed according to 3 pricing tiers with tier 3 at the highest price point.  Regardless of the tier, there were many choices and I felt very comfortable with the breadth and depth of granite selection.  My contact person was extremely helpful and 100% attuned to my specific needs. Besides explaining the pros and cons between natural and synthetic materials, he also provided samples of whatever granite I liked to take home so I could evaluate the appearance in the home.  Next, he made a trip to my home to examine the location and offer suggestions as to what would work the best; he especially wanted to examine the area with the laminate bar top.  Ultimately, he stated that it would not be cost effective to rebuild the large laminate bar top to accommodate a new granite bar top, and that I would be better off to keep the laminate bar top and consider some other minor updates ? I concurred with his evaluation and appreciated his honesty in this assessment.

Overall, I was extremely pleased with the outcome of the first project and the value of my purchase.  The installation of the small countertop went smoothly.  The schedule was set up for installation and the crew was there on time.  The entire crew was friendly and professional.  I will use discount granite again in the future.
