I wish I had more things for Dennis to paint! He was meticulous.

Dennis was wonderful to work with. He is very professional, incredibly neat on the job. We expect that he will be quoting jobs in the neighborhood. We are thrilled with the results.

Dennis painted our front door in place and removed and painted our vinyl shutters (10 of them). He completed the work in a timely manner. Based on our experience, my parents hired him to paint the interior of my grandmother's home prior to putting it on the market this spring. He is currently painting the exterior of a friend's home and she is raving about his work. He has always done a fantastic job for us!

He used wallpaper scrapers to remove the paper and washed the glue off a couple of times. They did use spackle to fill most of the holes and bumps. Total time it took was two days. I did have one concern about quality which did not become completely apparent until actually painting the surface. Some small bits of paper were left behind as well as some gluey patches. They left it to me to sand the spackle which wasn't necessarily a problem, however it looks to have been applied quickly and not all areas were filled and some were quite uneven. I had to do some additional spackling myself. The main thing that really soured me on his work was that he pulled a fast one on me with payment. He had told me that he charges $20 an hour and it would take a couple days to complete. He said supplies were minimal (just the glue remover and spackle). So I'm thinking it will be about 250 at the most. What I did not realize is that he meant $20 a man hour and he would be using 2 people to complete the project. Bear in mind that he is the only one I met when discussing the work and he did not mention anything about using more guys, so I was a bit surprised when I got a bill for almost $600. I feel this was a bit of intentional glossing over of the final price on his part. This was my very first experience hiring someone to work in my house and I was pressed for time so I was not as savvy as I should have been (always always ask for a complete estimate before agreeing to anything). I feel for the small amount of work that was done I way overpaid for the end result, at least it was a smaller project. I did learn my lesson now and will be much more careful in the future. Dennis was however very punctual and was available when I needed to talk to him.

It went great. They did a good job. They did a very professional job. We'd hire them again.

HE IS A VERY PLEASANT MAN TO WORK WITH. HE HAS A HIGH SENSE OF INTEGRITY, IS A FORMER TEACHER, AND IS AN ALL-AROUND GOOD GUY. HIS WORK IS VERY METICULOUS.
