+ -1 moreDieter checked out the porch and true to his word, came back with a quote within the week. Others I contacted didn't call me back or gave me quotes a month or two after I contacted them. He gave me a start time and because of circumstances, he called and stated he could start this job earlier than expected. He came every day and worked, cleaning up as he went. He called when he was going to be late or if there was bad weather - I never had to worry if he would show up He gave me options as the job progressed and we tweaked the original plans somewhat if he saw something that would look better or be safer. He completed the job as planned and agreed to come back in the spring when we will be staining the porch to fill in all of the nail and screw holes as, according to him, it would look funny without stain or paint. Bottom line - I knew exactly what I wanted this porch to look like before it was started. Dieter listened to me and then turned around and produced my vision into a well-built porch..
Description of Work: I would describe Dieter Brazelton as a GENERAL CONTRACTOR but I didn't see this category in your listing. He gave me a quote and because of some changes and suggestions on his part, my final bill was a bit more than the quote but well worth the money. I had a 60 foot long porch with a weak rod iron railing. I wanted a contractor to extend the porch out by about 6 to 8 inches but did not want to get into an expensive add-on and I wanted a railing that would be safe and look good. Dieter managed to extend the porch by 8 inches and construct a solid railing along with re-doing two flights of stairs that lead down to the driveway. I would be happy to send in pictures of the before and after shots I took - I love this guy’s work! On the somewhat negative side - if you want something done fast and don't care about quality, don't call Dieter. He took his time and made sure that all was right before going onto the next step.
