Phoned in the information, model, serial number of my washer. Dayco identified the part and it was available next day. I appreciate the fact that they have Saturday hours. The part worked well.

It's best to call ahead to make sure your part is there when you get there (or it is for me because it's a 30 minute drive from my house).
My only complaint about Dayco is that they have bankers hours, closing at 5PM weekend days, and only open for a few hours on Saturdays.

The appliance company sometimes charges 3, 4 and 5 times more than what the part actually costs. I have been able to save money by buying the part here and having someone install it. I spent probably about $30. It is a like a store, but is a store more for appliance repair people and not for the average person. If I need to know part number, I need to know what it is that I actually need, but the people there are very, very helpful.

What great customer service! When I called to see if there was such a part available, the rep. actually told me how long I'd be on hold (10 minutes) while they checked their microfiche records since the old oven model is not on computer listings. While I waited on hold, a few other reps checked in to make sure I was being helped. The rep found the part I needed and had it in stock. When I picked up the part, the various reps were friendly, courteous and professional, explained return & warranty policies, and didn't laugh when I asked a "dumb" question and brought in the broken oven element for comparison. I had dreaded calling around and trying to replace this old part, being a novice (and woman), but it turned out to be the best part/repair experience I've had.

ALWAYS HELPFUL FOR HARD TO FIND ITEMS. MUCH CHEAPER THAN CALLING A SERVICE COMPANY IF YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF. BUT THE PARTS ARE STILL EXPENSIVE!

THE ICEMAKER DIED AFTER 3 MONTHS. THEY WERE VERY COOPERATIVE AND EXCHANGED IT FOR ANOTHER ONE. THIS IS DEFINITELY A GREAT PLACE TO GO WHEN YOU DON'T MIND DOING THE WORK YOURSELF.

THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND VERY NICE TO WORK WITH. THIS COMPANY ACCEPTS THE CONCEPT THAT A WOMAN CAN REPAIR APPLIANCES.
