Dan Dust

I discontinued using someone else not because the work wasn?t good but because we didn?t think he was always dependable. When someone is coming into your house, you want somebody whom you can trust, and Dan is very trustworthy. He does good work. The problem with him is that he rearranges his schedule a lot of times, and that might be a problem for some people. He used to come twice but since I am retired now, he comes once a month, and that is one of the reasons that I think he probably rearranges quite a lot. Most people have the work done every week at a certain time or every two weeks at a certain time, and because I don?t fit into that little pattern, he moves me around. I?ve told him that it is okay with me. The flexibility is in my favor as well because sometimes we travel a fair amount and I just don?t want him to come, and he is okay with that. We pay him $75 a time, but it depends on how big your house is and that kind of thing. He is just a one-man show and we do get frustrated sometimes when he has problems - obviously, his family responsibilities lead him to cancel sometimes - but he has always worked me in. I think it is a fair price that he charges; however, he charges more than some people that I have hired in the past have. I get along with him well and I would definitely recommend him.

Dan is very particular about his cleaning. He will focus on one area for deep cleaning and he will occasionally do extras such as moving some furniture.
