Columbus Worthington Air

I used them because I have been using them for a number of years now. The service they provided was great. It was middle of January and it was very cold but they finished the job in a day. The people they sent here were terrific, type-A, precise, the kind of people you want to work in your house.

From the receptionist to the sales person to the installers to the service technicians, Columbus Worthington Air has been an excellent company with which to work. I met with three other companies before selecting CWA. I made my selection based upon price and customer service - CWA beat the competition on both counts. Their customer service has remained strong. I'd highly recommend considering CWA for new install and/or maintenance

They did a good job. They answerd my call and came out and fixed my air.

Technician had some difficulty finding our home (must not have any GPS capability-rare these days?). PVC drain pipe was in fact clogged and so he cut off the old one to clear out and installed a new one. This took approximately three hours and while this seems long it is not my major concern. My issue is with price--I was charged $300 for this service which I feel is completely unreasonable. If I had any idea they would charge this I never would have called, I simply would have done this myself for a few bucks and 30 minutes of my time. Discussions with their office led nowhere as apparently they feel the charge was appropriate.

The technician was completely professional. We have used this company for about ten years involving at at least three different repairs. Their personnel have always been of the highest quality and we have never had a complaint.

For the work that they did, I was happy with their charges. I think there is always room for improvement, but within the scope of work and the people who do the work, I was pleased with the value received. They did what I asked in a professional and polite manner. I believe their pricing is competitive.

It turned out well with them. We had a service plan with.

Seasonal work. Shcheduled date was met. Serviceman arrived during scheduled time. Went right to work. No problems encountered. Left a clean work site.

I have always had a great experience.

My AC was not working. They got a repair person to my house that day. He assessed and corrected the problem quickly. He was also very pleasant. I will use this company again.

I asked about the amount I alread paid, and the tech said that charge would not be refunded or applied to this new service because there was too much coolant, yet he just told me the faulty valve was giving false readings. I declined the $700 service and I found someone (HVAC tech, side job) who replaced the value (no parts cost, under warrantee) and coolant for $150. It took him about and 2 hours, and the AC has worked fine since. It just seemed like an unnecessary work was performed and then an exhorbadant estimate was given to fix the real problem.

checI purchased a top-of-the-line Trane Heating & AC system from CWA in August 2004 for $5,500. The compressor went out in 2009. The part was under warranty but I had to pay for labor which was around $900 +/-. Then a couple of years later the furnace quit working and their Tech tried to charge me around $900 for labor of which half was refunded by CWA after I wrote them up on Angie'sList. On Wednesday, 7/11/12, I noticed the AC wasn't cooling and I concluded the compressor was out again because that was what happened the last time, just three years before. After 3 different companies came out to check it out it was confirmed that the compressor was out again. They all mentioned inline dryers not being installed. I called CWA and the Service Manager sent out a Tech free of charge and he confirmed the compressor was bad. He showed me the inline dryer that was installed inside. I think Lee (Service Mgr.) and Jamie (Tech) are wonderful. If the whole company was like that I would not hesitate to use them. No one knows why the compressor failed. One company said that inline dryers should be installed on both incoming and outgoing lines especially when the compressor is replaced. That is the company I chose to replace my compressor. I wrote Trane an email asking for all my labor and service charges be refunded due to their poor equipment. They told me they did their part by replacing the parts free of charge and I should contact the dealer. I think it would only be fair that CWA refund at least part of the labor charges for the first compressor they replaced.

I called Cols. Worthington Air on a weekend when we realized that the air coming from our vents was not as cool as it should be. We didn't want to pay for emergency weekend service so, asked to be placed on a call list for Monday morning. Sure enough, shortly after 8 a.m. that Monday I received a call from their office and they set up a service call for that day. I was so thankful as the weather had been brutally hot! The technician was prompt, courteous, answered all my questions and did a good job of providing me options for how to proceed with the work. He did promote his company's services, but not in a pressured way...just letting me know what the company had to offer with respect to the work we needed done.

They showed up early on a Monday morning and had the complete HVAC system replaced by later afternoon, only issue was spare filters that were promised were missing BUT the FedExed them to me the next day

It was on call service as it was Saturday. I wasn't sure how fast they could get back to me, but he called back within 5 minutes from the time I finished talking to the call center. He put me on the emergency list. He told that he would call me when he was heading over and he did. He came and it was a long day for me. He came around 6 A.M. and he was out here almost around 5. He was very pleasant and very helpful. He showed me what was wrong. He did a good job.

We called this morning before business hours because our air conditioner had stopped working. We got a call back as soon as they were open and a tech was out at 8am on the dot. Turns out we had a loose wire and it was fixed by 8:30am. We are THRILLED with the responsiveness, the friendliness of the tech, and the resolution. We will definitely use these folks in the future!!!

They came out right when the big heat wave was here. They were very responsive and reasonably priced.

They actually call me to schedule an appointment and so I don’t have to call them. So I like that about them. I never had a bad experience with them. I never had a problem with their price. It’s good value for money. They’ve been good and I would recommend them to anybody.

Immediately after installation - I thought it went well. We had cool A/C air and everything seemed to be working. The workmen encouraged me to fill out a positive survey for them and I did. After they left, I started finding evidence of sloppiness including a pile of dirt in the basement. I also noticed the upstairs thermostat did not fully cover the surface where it the prior one had been installed, leaving a gap without wallpaper. A couple weeks later, I noticed the house was not cooling even though the fan was running. On the service call - they said the outdoor unit needed to be rebooted to talk to the indoor unit. The serviceman got it working but said he did not know why it happened and he would try to find out. I never heard back on this. Last week was the worst (so far). We found much of the basement flooded from the unit. We called them and the serviceman concluded that the teflon piping connecting the unit to the humidifier had been installed wrong. He jury-rigged a drain hose to remove the water, sealed off one of the pipes, and told me the original installers would come back tomorrow to reconfigure the piping. They returned and did just that, then quickly bolted before I got downstairs to inspect. On examination I found the pipe connection loose. I ran out to the departing truck and confronted them. They said it had to be loose and it would not leak water again. They took off and I returned to the basement. As usual - they left a mess. Water everywhere, wet towels on the floor, and the jury-rigged hose put in as a stop-gap measure still puttied into the unit. I removed it, replaced the putty, and cleaned everything. It hasnt leaked again (yet), but the basement floor in that room and the adjoining bathroom are badly damaged from the water. I plan to contact the firm and have them pay for its repair or replacement. In short: sloppy unprofessional installation with minimal or no cleanup performed.

The installers were punctual, courteous, professional, and candid. The quality of the work was good in function and appearance.

I asked for an estimate to replace my A/C and Furnace. The approach of the sales rep felt like I was on a used car lot. Price was not competitive. Women beware you may be taken advantage of.

We called Columbus Worthington Air out for an emergency service call at 10pm on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. They showed up within an hour and fixed our problem within minutes.

In the middle of the power outages, I never lost power. However, my A/C stopped working on Sunday. Monday, at work, after the day settled down and I was ready for lunch, I checked out Angie's list and contacted Columbus Worthington Air. It was 1pm. They had had a cancellation and if I could be at home between 2 and 6 they would be out that day! I found my boss and my coworker, arranged the time and headed home. Kenny showed up around 5pm. My A/C turned out to only need some routine maintenance. I also discovered that the rose bush I had asked someone to trim was instead all around the unit. I cut it down while Kenny was inside. I had decided while on the phone to purchase the package maintenance deal as my furnace is now 5 years old and could use a "look-see". Kenny was very professional, answered my questions both about the service call and another matter with the A/C grounding required by the city inspector, which will require an electrician. I was very pleased with the overall experience.

Everything went well - a/c working great since.
