Columbus Worthington Air

We were pleased with the work that Columbus Worthington Air provided. Our pump went out and consequently was leaking water across the basement floor. The technician noted that the pump may have gone out due to two exposed wires that were not properly grounded. Our provider also noted several other issues and gave us recommendations on which air filters to use. Overall we were very satisfied.

My A/C went out and I called the company to see if I could get a free estimate. I already knew that I wanted to replace both furnace and air conditioner due to age and repair history. Curt scheduled to come out the same day. He called after his first appointment and even was able to come out earlier than my scheduled time. I already had received a quote from another company but he was not told what that quote was. Curt explained the systems to me, rebates, and costs and gave me his "best" quote for the system. I challenged him to beat the price that I had gotten from the other company and he did by several hundred dollars. He then said that they could still come out the same week to install the new system! For the installation, they were right on time, explained the new thermostat, filters, etc. to me and were finished about two hours ahead of estimated time to complete. I was very impressed with everyone's knowledge, professionalism, and would use this company again. They were priced competitively, and were willing to negotiate the cost when challenged.

They are very prompt, perform good service, and return my calls. They even call back to check up on you and make sure everything is working okay.

It was fine & effective. They came out, did the deal and it worked out fine. Scheduling was a pretty smooth process -- my wife was on maternity leave so our schedule was flexible.

The service turned out just fine. I was very happy with them. I ended up using that coupon towards a new system. The whole new system cost 11 grand. They did honor the discount. Overall, the value was good. They were not the cheapest, but I went with them because they knew what they were talking about. I think it was cost versus quality; that is why I went with them. I will be using them for on annual basis for my maintenance.

The service went fine. They did get booked up quickly after offering the deal. It took a little while to get the service scheduled. There was a small issue with getting in touch with them to schedule the service. I purchased another deal for my son’s AC. They determined his unit did need some repairs. One technician came out for the job and his work was fine.

Update: Worthington Air immediately responded to my concerns with this service. They sent a technician out again within 2 days. He was unable to complete the tune-up because the capacitor had failed. We are happy that this was found and will proceed with the repairs. I will use this company again. Previous experience: I was very disappointed in this "deal". The description in the deal says it is a discount on a "tuneup". This implies to me, that some work would be done, if needed to the system. Instead, I paid for the technician to walk around, and then write an estimate of the work he said needed to be done. Technician said it would cost an additional $500 to "clean the system". In my opinion, I should not have to pay for estimates. I will not use this company again.

They did okay. We had a leak that was really hard to detect and they had to dive into the system and it was like a pinhole, so it was just a frustrating thing. However, it was a hard thing for them.

It went fine. It was nothing big deal. They tuned up my air conditioning. Three weeks later, my air conditioner went out. I did not go with them.

I had just purchased a service contract so Cols. Worthington Air came the same day I called for service. The service tech, Jamie T., diagnosed the problem very quickly, replaced a part, and didn't charge us. I have always been very happy with the service I've received from CWA.

That was fine. They did find a problem with the A/C and fixed it. The part was under the warranty but the labor wasn’t. They did do the work right away. They seemed to be very knowledgeable -- they fully explained what was going on, and I felt confident that they were being truthful.

The company called me right away, and the technician arrived on time for the appointment. Unfortunately, they weren't able to help me since I'm in an apartment where the air conditioner is located on the roof. When they arrived, they told me they would have to send another technician specializing in commercial work which would cost nearly three hundred dollars. In addition, the office staff wasn't very helpful when I called them to explain the situation, but the technician was very nice when dealing with me.

Scheduled the service and install all in one week. They were professional and efficient during a holiday week.

Provider was right on time for all appointments, they used shoe covers to protect the carpets, and were very courteous answering all of my questions.

They did a very good job and they were extremely thorough.

The tech said everything looked fine, and presented me with a check list of things he did or inspected. One of those things was flushing the condensate line. When our AC started leaking a few weeks later, and I had someone from a different company out to work on it, he informed me that there was no way the line was flushed or even checked, because the only access was from inside the furnace. I don't know that this was worth doing.

Jamie was very professional. He made sure to check everything, even after he had my air conditioner back up and running. He gave me additional pointers on how to clean and maintain my systems to increase their efficiency and longevity. I felt as though he was very thorough and honest--he didn't try to just sell me a new unit.

The mechanic who came out was very nice. He educated me and let me watch him make the repairs. He told me my compressor was getting old and having to work harder, he informed me that I will need to purchase a new one but did not pressure me to buy it on the spot. I did think they were pricey but they were punctual and responded to me quickly.

Technician was on-time, did a good job servicing furnace.

Tech was very professional. Gave details about the work and estimate. Even though estimate was high, it is due to the cost of the freon and not the service performed.

I've used CWA for two houses because all my dealings with them have been very positive and fairly priced. The initial estimate went well and resulted in the selection of a unit that would meet our needs and included some extra equipment to provide more warning of maintenance issues. The installation was performed as scheduled. CWA techs are always, efficient, clean, and professional. The work was done in the expected time, with no additions to the price, Work included plenum and piping modifications to the existing furnace. I don't hesitate to recommend CWA to friends and family, and they have been happy with CWA systems and technicians.

Had them out for the $89 "Big Deal" A/C tune up. Did the tune up and found the refrigerant low about 1/2 pound -- topped off an no extra charge. Had them back out for a $132 electronic leak test. Found a small leak in the Schrader valves -- tightened. Did a good job; pleasant to work with; no issues, would use again.

Gentlemen worked all day and did a very good job. We are pleased with the results. Julie
